The night before the dance competition, I was in a car accident that led to my leg being amputated, ending any chance I had of performing on stage again.

My boyfriend stayed by my bedside day and night, comforting me. He even proposed, saying he would be my other leg from then on.

But later, I discovered that he had carefully orchestrated the accident, all to win my sister's favor.

Ever since the accident that took my leg, I often found myself battling insomnia.

One sleepless night, as usual, I picked up my phone to read a novel and pass the time. But I accidentally stumbled upon a shady website.

Bright, flashy ads and some rather suggestive GIFs immediately filled the screen.

Startled, I was about to close it when I accidentally clicked on a video.

"Wyatt, come on!" A woman's voice cheered energetically.

The voice and the face seemed oddly familiar.

I squinted at the screen, and there she was, Fiona Shriver.

But who was this "Wyatt" she was shouting for?

The thought made my heart race.

With trembling hands, I zoomed in on the video. It looked like it had been secretly recorded some time ago. The quality was grainy, but I instantly recognized the man entangled with Fiona. It was my newlywed husband, Wyatt Brooks.

"Wyatt, when are you going to tell her about us?" Fiona asked tearfully, her voice filled with emotion.

Wyatt replied with a date. The very day I had my car accident.

"But Wyatt, I don't want Chloe to win that award again. You know I love dancing more than she does, and I'm more talented..."

"Still calling me Wyatt?"

"Honey, please help me," she said, leaning closer to him.

"That depends on how you perform tonight. If you impress me, I'll make sure Chloe drops out of the competition."

I couldn't hold it in any longer. I collapsed by the bed, violently retching, overwhelmed with disgust.

As I reached down to touch my severed right leg, it felt like I was back to that fateful day six months ago.
