Hana's POV
“Why must you bring your mistress home? Why do I have to give up the master bedroom because of her and your affair baby? There's no way I'm doing that.” As I spoke they had already settled down on the couch and Maribel was on his lap nestling in his arms. I stepped forward, grabbed her arms and tried to pull her off him.
“Unfortunately for you it's not up to you to decide where you stay. This is my house and my word is final. Does it look like I was asking for your opinion? I was just informing you so that you will get your things out of the room.”
“What do you mean by your house? The moment you became my mate this became our house and I have every right to it as you do.” I lashed back at him.
“For God's sake, I'm your Luna. No one can replace me.”
“Keep joking,” he smirked.
“You now have the guts to talk back to me, right?” Before I could reply to him, he raised his hand, without warning he struck me with a fatal blow. My head went numb, I became dizzy and stumbled before crashing on the floor.
As I tried to process what just happened I had someone giggling. I looked up to see Maribel happily watching the show.
“You're really pathetic! I thought you would save yourself some dignity.”
“When I mentioned to you previously that she would never give up, you thought I was joking. Now you see what I meant, see how clingy and desperate she is.” Hearing him mock me like this, I was hurt. if someone had told me that there would be a day Calvin would say such words to me I would never believe it.
“By the way, get up from there and prepare some delicious food for us! You'd be better off as a maid, than a Luna after all the only thing you're good at is cooking.” he brushed me aside with his leg as he pulled Maribel into the room.
I watched them enter the room which used to be our love nest, I couldn't bear the pain anymore. I started bawling my eyes out, I could feel a snort flowing down my nose but I was not in the state of mind to care.
When I woke up, I found my phone beside me and decided to grab it but a notification came in. I tapped on it. Another surprise greeted me.
While I was unconscious, Calvin had already posted on the Internet that his new Luna was pregnant. In the picture, Maribel wore my favorite pink maternity dress which I got as a gift on my wedding day for the day I'll get pregnant and will have to wear it for a photoshoot.
“What makes things more difficult now is that Calvin has declared Maribel as his fated mate and that she's pregnant for him. With his influence, everyone believes this.” My wolf whispered to me.
“That's right, I would only end up putting myself in a more difficult position.” I moaned, reluctantly accepting the truth.
“What if I come out to defend myself and tell the world how we were undergoing fertility treatment with Maribel?” I asked my wolf, my heart was pounding as I looked for solutions. My wolf was about to reply when I heard the doorbell ring. I was startled from my thoughts when the doorbell rang.
“Who could it be at this time of the night?” I was afraid that someone would see me like this, tattered and unkept. As a Luna it was a disgrace for me to appear before anyone unkempt or slightly out of place. I hesitated to open the door as I looked shabby and didn't want to attend to anyone looking like this.
“What are you standing there for, can't you check out who is at the door?” Calvin growled from the master bedroom. His voice was fierce, forcing me to get up and scurry to the door.
When I looked through the peephole, I was shocked to see it was. “What are they doing here at this time?” I muttered, I turned around to Calvin looking at me with so much disgust. I quickly wiped my snort and tried to make myself more presentable before his parents would notice me.
“Quickly get out of my sight!” He pushed me away from the door, I stumbled and I fell against the wall.
“Do you have to be so mean?” Tears fell down my eyes again, seeing the person I loved treating me like shit. I was going from his beloved Luna to nothing. He opened the door for them and they walked in. His face beamed with smiles.
“Welcome mom and dad. If I may ask, why are you guys here at this hour?” With so much respect, he demanded to know.
“Well we saw the news that you were expecting a child with your new Luna, so we came to congratulate you.” His mom said while looking around.
“It's good that you have an heir, now everything is settled and you can be the Alpha of the pack.” Calvin showed a genuine smile.
“By the way, where's your Luna? ” They looked around and their gaze happened to fall on me. I had tried my best to minimize my presence but they still ended up noticing me from behind the door where I hid.
“Who is that?”
It was dark, they couldn't see my face.
“Is that your old Luna?” His mom mocked upon pointing the flashlight of her phone at me. “Why are her eyes puffy and red, has she been crying?” They questioned Calvin but this didn't seem like a genuine question.
“You’re mistaken, she's not my Luna. I'd thought she's my fated mate, not until I met Maribel. We are mates.” Calvin lied boldly.
“What?” I gasped in shock.
“Luna?” He called out, I was about to answer when Maribel answered before me, taking me by surprise.
“No way, this can't be happening.” I muttered under my breath as my heart raced. “Why are you calling her by my name?” I'd just forgotten what he just said.
“I'm coming!” Maribel gently made her way to the living room, she had changed out of her previous outfit and was now wearing one of my other gowns. I went speechless. Shock rocked my chest, I felt a sharp pang.
“Mom, dad, you're all welcome.” She curtsied. “It must be tiring for you to make your way here just to congratulate us, we are really grateful. You shouldn't have come, we planned on coming to see you guys in the morning.” She spoke so gently, sounding like a very good wife. Calvin’ parents beamed with satisfactory smiles, nodding their heads.
“Hana has a health issue which makes her permanently unable to have a child, so I can't be with her.”
My legs went weak on the spot, I would never have believed Calvin could lie so effortlessly, it was obvious he had practiced it. He looked so sincere, had it not been I was involved and already knew the truth I would have believed him. The doctor never said this.
His parents looked towards me in disgust, if looks could kill, I would have certainly died.
“Calvin, how could you say such a thing?”
“It's a lie, they're both lying. He humiliated me just because I kicked against him bringing his mistress into my house. I just found out that he got his mistress pregnant and is now trying to replace me. Maribel is the pack doctor that has been taking us on fertility treatment, little did I know she would jump on him.”
His parents glared at me with doubtful eyes.
“Since you guys are treating me this way, I'll make sure Maribel and the pup never come true.”
The air in the room thickened, Calvin’ eyes darkened, he was looking with dread, Maribel turned to him with fear while his parents whispered among themselves.
“I thought I could still keep you but now you're proving so dangerous. I certainly have to do away with you.” He gave off his threat, getting me anxious.
