I was in the middle of a tough labor, bleeding heavily, and my husband, Leo Wilson, who had promised to be the first to welcome our baby, was nowhere to be found. The doctor looked around the room with concern. “Where’s Mr. Wilson? Without his signature, there's a risk of serious complications.” I gathered my strength to call Leo, only to hear his ex-girlfriend’s voice on the line. “Leo, you’re amazing.” Leo snapped at me, annoyed. “Women go through childbirth all the time. Stop being so dramatic.” “Rory’s depression is worse. As her doctor, I can’t just leave her now.” Leo was not just my husband but also the hospital’s director, though his heart belonged to his muse, Rory Simmons. As long as Rory was around, I was invisible.

Chapter 1 of Divorce After Deception

I was in the middle of a tough labor, bleeding heavily, and my husband, Leo Wilson, who had promised to be the first to welcome our baby, was nowhere to be found.

The doctor looked around the room with concern. “Where’s Mr. Wilson? Without his signature, there's a risk of serious complications.”

I gathered my strength to call Leo, only to hear his ex-girlfriend’s voice on the line. “Leo, you’re amazing.”

Leo snapped at me, annoyed. “Women go through childbirth all the time. Stop being so dramatic.”

“Rory’s depression is worse. As her doctor, I can’t just leave her now.”

Leo was not just my husband but also the hospital’s director, though his heart belonged to his muse, Rory Simmons. As long as Rory was around, I was invisible.

He never appeared during the surgery. When it was over, I touched my empty stomach and finally decided to sign the divorce papers.

---

I opened my eyes to see my best friend Maddie Thomas holding my hands tightly, her face filled with concern. After hesitating, she spoke gently:

“Raelynn, your baby didn’t survive. It was critical, and there was nothing else we could do…”

I felt dizzy, overtaken by grief, and closed my eyes, tears silently streaming down my face.

Just then, a delivery man approached my bed with flowers and a container of food, smiling warmly.

“Mrs. Wilson, Mr. Wilson sent these and asked me to tell you, ‘You’ve done wonderfully, darling. I’ll always love you.’”

I looked at the fading flowers, my face twisting in a bitter smile. Maddie opened the container to find pulled pork, snatched the flowers, and angrily threw them away.

“That Leo is the worst! Who gives pulled pork to someone recovering from childbirth? And these nearly dead flowers—it's outrageous!”

I stood up, my body still shaking with weakness. Maddie held me tightly, her eyes filled with sympathy and anger.

“Raelynn, don’t let him upset you. He’s not worth your tears. He’s using these cheap gestures to make up for things. Has he forgotten how he got this far?”

Her words hit me like an arrow, spreading silently through me. Each day felt endless, until Leo showed up on the third day in the hospital.

He was dressed in a sharp navy blue suit, his hair styled as if he paid attention to every strand. For three years of marriage, he had always preferred casual clothes and often neglected to shave.

I had told him that appearances mattered, but he'd dismissively say, “Doctors need to save lives, who has time to dress up?”

Turns out, it wasn't worth the effort for me.

I got lost in thought and nearly missed Rory Simmons behind him. Her loose hospital gown couldn’t hide her slender figure.

Leo stepped forward to help me sit up but frowned when he saw the mess beneath me and reluctantly helped me change.

I laughed bitterly, unable to hold back my emotions as I confronted him:

“You abandoned me during labor for another woman, showed up three days later, and now you’re pretending to be the devoted husband?”

Leo furrowed his brow, instinctively defending himself:

“Raelynn, I messed up that day. But look at you now, you’re fine. Does it really matter if I was there?”

“How can you be so selfish? You know Rory’s condition is serious. Shouldn’t I look after her?”

I sneered at his answer, laced with sarcasm:

“Of course you should, Rory's quite smitten with your care. Makes one wonder if it's your medical skills or something else.”

Leo’s expression darkened, clearly bothered by my words. He stood up, towering over me, frustrated:

“Raelynn, you’re being unreasonable! No wonder Rory is scared of you.”

“Rory feels bad about the misunderstanding and insists I come explain or else she won’t continue her treatment.”

Then Rory Simmons walked up, like I was some threatening figure.

“Raelynn, it was never my intention to ask Leo to leave you. My condition was urgent. If you need to blame someone, blame me, not Leo.”

Such a pitiful act, but Leo fell for it.

Leo stepped out to take a call, but not before reminding me:

“Raelynn, talk to Rory. Don’t act like a jealous wife and upset her.”

I froze momentarily, jolted back by Rory’s challenging tone:

“Raelynn Wilson, look at your worn-out face. How do you think you compare to Leo?”

“I suggest you gracefully step down as director’s wife before Leo kicks you out and you regret it.”

I glared at her coldly, snapping back:

“I heard you were swindled by some older guy abroad, lost everything, divorced him, and ran back home.”

“Well, with your divorce experience, maybe you could give me some pointers?”

Rory's face turned angry, her eyes flashing with fury. She raised her hand as if to hit me but stopped just before reaching my cheek.

After My Lover Forgot Me, I Let Him Go
After My Lover Forgot Me, I Let Him Go
The rain had been falling for three hours straight when I heard the knock. It wasn't really a knock. More like something heavy leaning against the door. A thud, then silence, then another thud. Like someone didn't have the strength to lift their fist but kept trying anyway. I was sitting on the kitchen counter with a bowl of cereal I wasn't eating, scrolling through headlines on my phone. The same headlines I'd been reading for four days. HOLDEN ARMSTRONG STILL MISSING AFTER ON-SET EXPLOSION. A-LIST STAR VANISHES FROM CEDARS-SINAI — SEARCH INTENSIFIES. WHERE IS HOLDEN ARMSTRONG?

Luna Walking Away: Defying the Alpha’s Cruelty
"A toast," Eden declared as servants began distributing crystal glasses filled with deep red wine. "To new beginnings." My stomach clenched as a server approached me with a tray. I started to shake my head—everyone in the pack knew of my severe allergy to alcohol. It had been documented since I became Luna; Eden himself had always ensured non-alcoholic alternatives were available at every gathering. But before I could decline, Eden was suddenly before me, taking a glass from the tray himself. His eyes, once warm amber pools I could drown in, were now cold and distant as he extended the wine toward me. "Surely our former Luna will join us in celebrating this momentous occasion," he said, loud enough for nearby pack members to hear. His emphasis on "former" cut through me like a blade. "Eden," I whispered, my voice barely audible even to werewolf ears. "You know I can't—" "Drink," he commanded, his Alpha tone washing over me like a physical force. "Honor our new Luna. Your new Luna."
My Alpha Saved His Mistress Instead of Me
My Alpha Saved His Mistress Instead of Me
The pack run had been Marcelo's idea. He'd announced it three days prior at the weekly council meeting, his Alpha tone leaving no room for debate. A show of unity, he'd called it. A reminder that the Black Moon Pack moved as one body, one purpose. I'd watched him from my seat at the far end of the table—the Luna's chair, though I'd stopped feeling like a Luna months ago—and said nothing. Petra Voss had nodded approvingly. The other council members had murmured their agreement. Rosalina, seated closer to Marcelo than protocol allowed, had smiled that soft, adoring smile she always wore around him. I should have known then. The territory's northern river was swollen from early spring melt, the current fast and mean.
No Water Like the Sea
No Water Like the Sea
"Donna, have you lost your goddamn mind? Who told you to go near Grace?" After Donna had Robert's beloved, unattainable ideal blacklisted and sent abroad, he completely snapped. "You're hurting me..." Trying to pull her hand back, Donna found Robert's gaze fixed on her, his eyes bloodshot with fury. He didn't let go—instead, he tightened his grip. "Hurt? You think you know what hurt feels like? Grace slit her wrists, and you still arranged to have her sent away? Did you ever stop to consider her pain?" "Tell me, what did you say to her the last time you met?" Pain paled Donna's face, yet a stubborn defiance hardened within. Fighting to keep the tears at bay, she refused to show vulnerability and glared back at Robert without flinching. "What does her life or death have to do with me? Or with you!? I'm the one you're about to marry!" "Oh, wonderful. The future Mrs. Robert. Is that it? Donna, you're just counting on me having no choice but to marry you, aren't you? You think a piece of paper can trap me?" "Hah, looks like I've spoiled you too much all these years. You're still this naive, even at your age!" Robert sneered, eyes full of mockery. Blindfolding Donna, he hoisted her onto a wire dozens of meters high. She struggled desperately, the thin cord suspending her seeming ready to snap at any moment. "Stop!" Utterly hopeless. This was the same man who once cooled a cup of hot water before handing it to her, afraid she might burn herself. Now, he stood there coldly, savoring her desperate pleas. Donna was the only legitimate heir of her generation in the family. A pity she was a girl—Michael didn't believe women should lead. So Laura took matters into her own hands. She selected six boys from affiliated families, raising them alongside Donna with the explicit understanding that her choice would become her husband and inherit the family empire. "Whoever Donna marries gets the keys to the empire!" Those six boys had always catered to Donna's every whim. As children, they were her entourage, teasing and tormenting others at her command. As adults, they accompanied her, beating the illegitimate family children into submission. Robert, the standout among them, always charged ahead, dealing the harshest blows. In Donna's eyes, that fearless brutality defined a man. So at her coming-of-age ceremony, she chose Robert as her fiancé without hesitation. She even spent hundreds of millions on advertising, announcing to the world that Donna was engaged to Robert! Only when those overwhelming ads reached Grace's ears, driving her to slit her wrists in anguish, did Donna finally realize: Robert had a cherished first love all along. And that tender "Donna" he whispered in moments of passion—that wasn't her either. Donna had tried to win Robert back, but Grace sought her out first. On one hand, Grace acted pure and proud, declaring she'd never be the other woman, urging Donna to help her go abroad. "Miss Donna, I have no interest in being a homewrecker, but you should keep your man in check. Don't let him come crawling to me—it puts me in an awkward position." On the other, she sent tearful messages to Robert, sobbing, "We're just not meant to be. Maybe in another life"—making Robert believe Donna had forced her hand. Donna's voice grew hoarse from crying, her eyes dull. The ropes cut into her skin, fresh wounds bleeding steadily. Finally, Robert deigned to crouch down and lift her chin. "Grace came back but refuses to eat properly, avoiding me on purpose." "She says as long as you're alive, she'll always be the other woman. She won't accept me. What am I supposed to do?" He thought the problem lay with Donna. Donna shook her head in despair. "I never said anything. She asked to leave herself..." She no longer had the strength to explain. Robert scoffed. "Donna, you really are heartless. I played the loyal dog for you all these years, and still you bite the hand that feeds you." With that, he gestured to someone beside him. The next moment, the rope around Donna's waist snapped... When she opened her eyes again, Donna was back at her coming-of-age ceremony, the day she chose Robert as her fiancé. "Donna, are you sure you want to choose Robert?"
