Why did I Even Cry for the Husband who Sent Me to Jail Summary
Chapter 1 of Why did I Even Cry for the Husband who Sent Me to Jail
My CEO husband held his startled female secretary as he slammed my diary into my face. He snarled, “I simply took Daph to her prenatal checkup and didn’t take our son to the hospital! Is that enough for you to get this jealous? Are you planning to murder her every single day?”
I cradled my son’s corpse and lifted my head in burning fury. “She deserved to die, but I never planned to kill her.”
“Oh really?” my husband laughed cruelly. “You changed her allergy meds, plotted a staged fall, injected air into her body. There have been more than twenty different murder plans, all written out clearly.”
He added, “And her name is scrawled all over the pages. How can you still deny it?”
My husband froze my bank cards, forced me to wash Daphne’s feet and clean up after her and made me kneel in public every day to beg her forgiveness. Overnight I became the town’s reviled wicked woman.
Later, in court, I watched as my 'death diary' was read aloud Daphne’s name, along with the evidence that she slaughtered thirteen members of my in-laws. Hearing that, my husband and that woman went pale.
I let out a soft laugh. “I married you because I was repaying a debt. There's no way this is a mere jealousy. And soon I’ll be leaving you. Did you know? this diary was my way of planning out death itself?”
What my husband didn’t know was that the death diary was my divorce gift before I vanished for good.

Leonardo held his beautiful secretary in his arms and shouted at me, “I only took Daph to her pregnancy checkup and didn’t take our son to the hospital. Do you have to be this jealous? Do you really plan to murder her every day?”
With my thin hands, I held my son’s cold body tightly. I lifted my head in anger. “She deserves to die! But I never planned to kill her.”
Daphne’s eyes filled with tears. “Leo, I’m so scared. Your wife wants to kill me and the baby… She continued, “You know very well who the real killer is!”

Five hours earlier…
I grabbed Leonardo by the arm in panic. “Hurry! Take Ronan to the hospital, he’s having a heart attack!”
Leonardo pulled my hand away impatiently. “Stop acting. Are you trying to teach our son into joining your drama?”
“Look at him! His face is turning blue and purple!” I said desperately.
In my arms, Ronan’s weak little hand reached for him. “Dad… help me…”
Leonardo’s eyes softened for a moment. At last, he picked up our son. All of the sudden, Daphne rushed at me and spilled hot tea. Soon, the boiling liquid burned my body.
Instead of me, Daphne was the one who screamed, “Ah! Hot!”
Her hand only had a small red mark the size of a fingernail, yet Leonardo immediately threw my son back into my arms and ran to hold Daphne.
“We’re going to the hospital,” he said.
I fell hard on the ground as I caught my son. Dropping all dignity, I crawled on my knees toward him and grabbed Leonardo’s leg to beg, “At least give me my phone. I’ll take Ronan to the hospital myself…”
Daphne cried in his arms, “Violet, please stop your act! Ronan's just having a fever. How did he even get a heart attack in the first place? Stop lying to Leo!”
How did Ronan get a heart attack in the first place? Why yes! Because Daphne was the one who injected air into his veins!
Leonardo didn’t even look at me as he ordered his guards, “Watch her. Don’t let her leave the living room.”
He then walked away. I tried chasing after him, but two towering bodyguards pinned me down, forcing me to my knees.
In my arms, Ronan’s breathing grew weaker. His little hand slipped down with no strength. I held him and cried in despair, but in this huge empty villa, no one answered me.
It was always like this. No matter how crazy the truth sounded, Leonardo believed Daphne’s every word without a question.
The diary slammed hard against my forehead, jolting me from the painful memory back to reality.
Leonardo laughed bitterly in rage. “You changed Daphne's allergy medicine, set up fake accidents, injected air into Ronan's body. There were more than twenty murder plans, all written clearly.”
“Her name is all over these pages too. So, why are you denying it? And this wouldn’t even be your first murder.” He added, “Get on your knees propely and apologize to Daph!”
As I held Ronan’s cold body, I slowly stood up. With all my strength, I kicked Daphne’s knee. After the dull thud, she screamed and fell to the floor. Her face was right in front of my dead son.
I glared at her coldly. “A murderer has no right to stand before the dead.”
Daphne wept weakly in response, “Leo, she’s trying to frame me… it hurts so much…”
I let out a bitter laugh.
Go ahead and play the victim. In three days, I know that no matter how well Daphne act, it won’t save her.
