While everyone was cheering for their love, no one knew that Jacob had lost his mind.
His mind was filled with Jessica's numb and emotionless look, which made him so heartbroken that he could not breathe.
As soon as five minutes were up, he let go of Kelsey and turned to look at Jessica.
But before he could say anything to Jessica, the girl suddenly stood up with a sweet smile on her face.
"Seeing that Jacob and Kelsey have such a good relationship, I feel relieved. I think the sooner the engagement happens, the better. I have something else to do, so I'll leave first with Selena."
Florence nodded with a satisfied look on her face and responded, "Jessie is right. Kelsey is such a good girl, so we need to hurry up and seize the opportunity. I think it would be better for them to get engaged in five days."
Kelsey's father and mother also nodded, looking at Jacob with satisfaction. "You're right, Ms. Oliveira, our son and daughter have a good relationship, so it would be better if they get engaged as soon as possible. How about it, Kelsey?"
Kelsey stroked the table with her fingers and looked at Jacob shyly. "I'm fine, but I want to ask Jessica to be my bridesmaid. We're going to be a family after all."
Jessica paused in her steps as she was about to leave.
She turned back to look at Kelsey, her expression still calm and expressionless.
"I may have something to do in five days, so I won't be able to attend Jacob and Kelsey's engagement party, so I'm the first one here to wish you a happy engagement and a long and lasting life."
As soon as the words fell, everyone smiled with satisfaction.
Jacob's father, Damien Oliveira, laughed louder. "Our daughter has grown up. It seems that even if Kelsey marries into our family, she won't be afraid of having no friends."
Only Jacob stared at Jessica with dark eyes and obscure expression.
Jessica then pulled Selena away. She did not eat anything from beginning to end.
She felt a bloating pain in her stomach, so she covered it and slowly crouched down.
Selena looked at her with concern, her tone so anxious that she almost cried out.
"Jessie, he is such a jerk! It's fine if he's breaking up with you, but he's getting married to someone else so soon?"
Jessica was exhausted. She shook her head and looked at her best friend pleadingly. "Selena, please take me back first."
When she got home, the living room was pitch black.
But she did not turn on the light, instead she groped in the dark and opened the door to her room.
In the next second, a pair of strong hands grabbed her arms and pulled her into the room.
Before she could even scream, Jacob covered her mouth.
Then the hot and forceful kiss slowly moved down, along her cheek to her neck, leaving bright red marks.
She grasped his arm, barely controlling her desire to moan.
But the next second, he leaned over to her ear and said, "You can let out your moan this time, Mom and Dad are not back yet."
The warm breath was blowing beside her ears and Jessica dodged as usual, trying to break free from his control.
But the more she tried to escape, the harder he restrained her. In the end, he pushed her onto the bed and kissed her fiercely.
A few seconds later, a knocking sounded and Jessica's body trembled.
She raised her hand to push the man away, but he remained motionless.
Outside the door, Florence looked at her daughter's closed door with a puzzled look on her face. "Jessie, are you in there?"
Jessica opened her mouth, to say something to deceive her mother, but she did not expect Jacob to reach out and cover her mouth.
He leaned over to her ear, his voice gentle and low enough for only the two of them to hear.
"Weren't you quite talkative at the dinner table today? Call me your brother and Kelsey your sister-in-law and wish us a happy engagement and a long and lasting life?"
"Now let Mom come in and let her see what our relationship is like. Let her see how the brother threw his sister onto the bed and how he took off her clothes one by one."
He covered her mouth. She could not utter a word and could only look at him with horror.
The next second, Florence, who was standing outside the door, turned the door handle and tried to come in.
