I reject him."
The crowd exploded in disbelief.
"A worthless wolf dared reject Kalean."
Isabella's eyes lit up. Alexander's lips snatched a wicked smile.
" Why did you reject Alpha Kalean?" The elder asked.
I didn't say a word; my hands were trembling as I stared into his dulling eyes.
He just stood there, calm, resilient, arrogant.
I didn't know why, but Isabella and Alexander stepped out of the hall in a hurry.
I stood there still shivering in fear.
But then I sprinted alongside them, running for my dear life.
__
AT HOME.
I stepped into the living room.
Alexander and Isabella were already waiting; they had stepped out of the car earlier before me in haste. Their faces could tell everything: why they were in haste and why my mother wore a devilish face.
And suddenly, a sizzling sound tore across my face.
"How dare a bastard like you step foot on Fated Bond and reject Kalean.
My mother's hands tore across my face.
Tears spilled down my face. My gaze shifted to my siblings, who were staring at me with smug looks on their faces.
Dad sat at the edge of the dining table, calm, resilient, but it was deadly. He never said a word, not even one. His hand dug into his meal.
My mom exchanged glances with the Guards standing right beside us.
Before I knew it, two massive wolves stepped right behind me, each grabbing my hands, pinning me down to the table.
"Yes, kill her. She deserves to die. Isabella sneered.
Alexander's arms crossed against each other. His lips smashed into a devilish smile.
" Lock her in the quarantine containment." My mother said. " How dare she attend the Fated Bound? A wolfless wolf, sent to disgrace our family. How dare you reject Alpha Kalean?"
Tears spilled down my face.
I couldn't believe the family that was supposed to be my protector were treating me like a slave. It's always been this way.
"Chain her and take her to the tears of the moon."
My mother ordered.
The tears of the moon. Why would my mother take me there? That is where she treats slaves who go against her will. Why would she take me there?
"Please, Mom, don't." I cried, pleading with her. She didn't care to listen to my words.
They dragged me into the quarantine containment.
The room was filled with the thickness of demons. I was chained down to the chairs. And the heavy door slammed shut as my mother, Alexander, and Isabella stepped in with the guards. I noticed the security cameras on the wall. My gaze caught the acoustic panels on the Ceiling
My mother stepped forward. she leaned toward where I was chained
" The whip. Let me teach this filthy bitch a lesson."
Isabella handed the whip. A wicked smile tore across her face.
And in that second, a strike landed on my body, blood dripping out instantly. I forgot to mention, this was called the Thorn whip.
"How dare you reject Alpha Kalean when you know that if you reject him, this would start a war? You bastard." My mother sneered; a strike landed after.
My hands trembled as tears streamed down my face. I screamed out for my throat. My mind went back to when her smile never left my siblings, and her gaze was always on them, but to me she treated me with coldness and never made me feel I was hers.
"You worthless runt dared to reject the Moon Crest family."
"Mom, please." Hands trembling, body shivering, tears I could no longer stop kept spilling down.
I pleaded.
"I saw him slaughter a woman in front of me, and people say he is a luna hunter."
A wicked laugh ripped out from the three.
"And who told you we didn't know that?" My mom spat out, her face twisted into a hideous beast.
" Deal with her." Mom said. " Since she doesn't know her place."
Isabella stepped forward.
"You ugly wolf. You are oversized. You should be grateful to be mated to Alpha Kalean."
"Since she doesn't know how, please let's remind her where she belongs." Alexander sneered right after Isabella's words.
"Guards." My mother ordered. The guard stepped forward. " Beat her stupor until she learns her place.
Yes, Ma'am. The three stepped back and handed the whip to the guards. The door clicked open, and they input a passcode. I heard it loud and clear.
And before I knew it, a strike landed on my body.
It kept going for hours, and in that moment, my mind ran with thoughts.
I had always wondered if this family were my family. If actually I were their child, I had been abused for years by this family: no care, no attention, nobody. Actually cared about how I felt.
A scream tore out of my throat as each strike kept landing on my body, ripping my skin apart.
Well, I guess I was a disgrace to them. I was an oversized, ugly wolf who was weak. No one ever wanted me. I rejected Alpha Kalean because he was one of the most ruthless Alphas.
Every year, a she wolf who was meant to be his Luna dies. I didn't want to die. I wanted to live.
Another strike ripped my skin apart; blood gushed out.
I screamed out in pain.
" Please let me go, I kept pleading, but nobody listened. The strike kept coming one after another, until my breath started fading. Slowly, my vision blurred,
and I fell unconscious. But I could still feel the strike flying across my body.
My body kept shivering, and my hands were trembling.
Then it stopped.I couldn't feel it anymore, only the voices of the guards trembling in fear.
"What if she dies? Let's get away from here, they said, fleeing from the room.
And in that moment, everything went silent. My eyes were closed. eyes slid shut, and I dozed off. My wolf came screaming."
___
THE NEXT EVENING!
The scent of thick and dangerous filled the room. My eyes slid up; I was chained to the chair, blood dripping to the floor.
Body bruised, and my face was swollen.
Suddenly the door clicked open. Alexander stepped in with a smirk on his face as he saw the blood dripping. He held a bowl of meal.
" You look uglier now," he said. A wicked laugh tore out from his throat.
"Here," he said, pouring the food on the floor.
"Eat it, dog, and bark.
His lips stretched into a devilish Smile.
Tears spilled down my face; my hands trembled. My heart ached.
After all these years now, I know they didn't love me.
Alexander didn't just make me his enemy; he treated me like one since we were children. He would leave me out in the cold with no food, no water and for days, nobody even came to check up on me. Seven years of my mother's warm eyes and hands on the two, leaving me cold and taking the very one I love.
Then Realization sparked; if I don't leave here, I might be lying dead in a minute.
"You don't want to eat it." He laughed out loud, stepping away from the room as the door clicked shut.
My hands trembled tirelessly on the chain; I had to run away, leave this abusive home.
Freya, you know It's dangerous if you step out of the Moon Stone Hollow. The dark forest, do not think about it. Freya. My wolf kept screaming.
I don't care. I just want to leave this hideous place." I whispered faintly.
You know the pack rules, Freya. Do not step out of the Moonstone Hallow. The rogues outside will slaughter any wolf they come across.
Tears spilled down my face. I had to do this even if it meant dying.
My eyes caught the loose slick on the chain. There was hope. I turned to the cameras on the wall, even though I was weak. I knew what I had to do.
If I tried to turn off the camera, it would trigger the Alarm.
My eyes shut calmly. I felt the air for a second, and in that moment.
All cameras switched to the sides; I knew I had to do something.
I yanked my strength to the chair and pulled against the shackles using the chair as a lever of force. The metal opened without making a noise.
And in a minute the chains broke off. I noticed the cameras were on me now, so I sat quietly.
The camera shifted, and I yanked the chains off, stood up, and dropped to my knees. Pale, my rib cracked.
I also huddled to the wall where the camera wasn't monitoring.
My hands trembled.
My eyes had caught on the camera's movement, and I had noticed every movement.
I crawled, groaning in pain, to the door; My gaze shifted back to the camera, which was already pointing at me.
I held my breath.
Freya, the decision you're making is dangerous. My wolf screamed.
But I didn't care. I had to. I had made up my mind.
The camera shifted to another direction, and I entered the passcode I heard: 4.5.6.7. When Mom entered the passcode.
The door clicked opened and I slipped out gently.
My feet shook as I rose to my feet in pain; I almost stumbled on the ground. My face was bruised, blood dripping down heavily as I walked.
A voice ripped through the atmosphere that was already dense and thick.
"Go get her."
I knew it was me. I crawled to a secluded place.
I waited patiently, tears in my eyes. My hands trembled, my face bruised. I promised myself I had to leave here.
The guard sprinted past me. And I took the opportunity and sprinted away in pain. Bleeding heavily.
I had sprinted out. Then the Alarm went on.
I knew if I didn't make it, I was going to get caught.
I sprinted so fast, my heart racing, in pain, but I would not give up
My feet dug right in front of the dark forest; my body shivered. Hands trembled.
Freya, don't go in, turn back.My wolf kept screaming.
I didn't care. I'd rather die in this dark forest than be with this wicked family. I sprinted into the forest without hesitation.
My legs kept racing for hours. Suddenly, my ears twisted.
I didn't stop; my feet kept racing. My breath heavy.
My pulse was pounding in my ears, and my vision was getting blurry.
My eyes caught the eyes in the shadows.
My feet dug into the soil, that when I felt the coldness of the darkness. My hands trembled.
Body shivering.
A massive Rogue stormed out from the shadows, his fangs coated in blood as he growled.
My feet shivered, and I stumbled back. My gaze locked on the Rogue.
"Step back," I screamed.
But it didn't listen. And in a minute it closed in.
Five massive rogues stormed out from the shadows, growling as spit escaped their mouths.
My feet were shivering that I didn't notice a huge rock right in front of me.
My feet tripped on it, and it twisted.
I stumbled to the floor, weak and pale, hands trembling.
I warned you, Freya. My wolf kept screaming.
My eyes slid shut, waiting for death.
The rogues stepped forward. Tearing me piece by piece, blood dripping.
My throat tore out a scream that ripped the forest. My breath was fading
Suddenly, I felt a heavy blood splash down my face.
The rogues growled in pain. A loud howl rumbled out.
The last word I heard was.
" Mate."
