Elder Roland opened the brown folder I’d handed him and skimmed through it in silence. His face was unreadable, those dark eyes quietly observing. Then, he looked up and fixed his gaze on me.
Nervousness crept into my chest. I was afraid he wouldn’t believe me—or worse, that he would blindly defend Alpha Alan right in front of me.
“I acknowledge your complaint, Luna Gabriella,” he said, voice steady. “But everything that’s happened requires process. I will bring this matter to the Elders and seek a resolution. I must also speak directly to Alpha Alan.”
Relief swept over me. For the first time in a while, I felt a sliver of hope. Maybe, something would change.
“For now, go back and clear your heart of this sorrow. Believe me—no honorable Luna deserves to be treated that way.”
“Thank you, Elder Roland,” I replied softly.

As soon as I returned home from Elder Roland’s place, I found Alpha Alan already waiting for me. Without a word, he pulled me into his arms, gripping my hands tightly.
“I’m sorry, Luna Gabby,” he said, voice trembling. “I regret everything I did. Please… give me a second chance. I’ll change, I swear. Don’t sever our bond.”
I didn’t have the energy to argue. I just wanted peace. So, I faked a nod—just enough to convince him. His eyes lit up immediately, full of naive hope.
“Does that mean you forgive me?”
I nodded again, my face expressionless. Even the smile I gave him was ice-cold.
“Then… we can sleep in the same bed again, right?” he asked eagerly.
“No,” I said flatly. “Just get some rest. I’m tired.”
I walked into my room and shut the door behind me. Then I stood there for a moment, letting silence wrap around me. I had made my decision. This would be my final memory here.
I began packing. Quietly. Carefully.
He needed to know how it felt… to be left behind. To be abandoned. I wanted him to taste that same emptiness he’d gifted me all this time.
The next morning, I acted as if everything was normal.
I prepared everything for him—his breakfast, his clothes, even warm bathwater. When he saw me sitting calmly at the dining table, his eyes gleamed with delight. He rushed over and sat across from me, holding my hands again.
But I gently pulled my hand away, pretending I was about to eat.
“You did all this?” he asked, surprised.
“Yes. Just for you.”
“You always understand me, Luna Gabby. Thank you.”
I almost laughed—but only inside.
I ate slowly, savoring my little performance. Then I raised a brow as Beta Alice appeared.
“You look adorable, Luna Gabriella,” she chirped. “I thought you two were still fighting.”
“Of course not,” I said smoothly. “Would you like to sit and join us? There’s plenty to enjoy.”
I stood from the table. “If you’ll excuse me, I have something to take care of.”
Back in my room, I saw the call I’d been waiting for—a number I hadn’t saved on purpose.
Finally.
“Gabby, are you ready?” came the voice on the other end.
“I’m more than ready, Alpha Carlos,” I said firmly.
I peeked out the door. Coast was clear. Alpha Alan and Beta Alice had already disappeared from the dining room. The silence was perfect.
I didn’t care what they were doing anymore.
My only goal… was to leave.
I grabbed my suitcase and slipped out, heading straight for the airport.
As I walked, I glanced down at my phone and my new ID card.
Goodbye, Gabriella.

It was late when I returned home. I had a bouquet of white lilies—Gabby’s favorite. Along with me, I carried a beautiful ring she’d been eyeing for months.
But something was off. The house was quiet. Too quiet.
Only the Omegas were around. No Gabby.
“Luna Gabby? Where are you?” I called out, loudly enough for her to hear.
Nothing.
I set the bouquet down on the table and rushed toward her private bedroom.
My heart dropped. Empty.
Her scent was fading. Her things—gone. Every last one of them.
Panic surged through me.
I stormed through every room, shouting her name, but she was nowhere to be found.
I turned to one of the Omegas. “Have you seen Luna Gabby?”
She blinked. “I don’t know, Alpha. Wasn’t she just having breakfast with you this morning?”
Damn it!
I stumbled toward the trash bin, something catching my eye—ashes, still warm. Next to them, on the nightstand, sat a short letter. A few of Gabby’s personal belongings were stacked beside it. Items I had gifted her over the years.
My blood ran cold. My chest felt like it was being ripped apart.
I picked up the letter.
To an Alpha who was never worthy of me—Happy Rejection Day.
So few words…
And yet they hit harder than any battle wound I’d ever suffered.
I screamed, slamming my fists against the table beside me, clawing at the surface like a madman.
This isn’t real. This can’t be happening.
