The Sweetest Batrayal : Leave Me, Alpha!

Gabby

After taking care of my visa and changing my identity, I purposely stayed away from Alpha Alan’s pack for a few days. I needed peace—something to keep me busy, so my life wouldn’t be consumed by the growing hatred inside me. Eventually, though, I decided to return, just to pack up the rest of my things before I left for good.

My steps halted automatically when I overheard faint voices coming from one of the rooms. They were talking about me—and not kindly.

“Apparently, Luna Gabriella forgot that Alpha Alan’s mate-bond with her was purely formal. Isn’t that embarrassing?” one voice sneered, followed by an insincere laugh. Another chimed in, “Instead of being embarrassed, I just feel sorry for her. She’s clearly obsessed with becoming the perfect Luna for Alpha Alan.”

My fists clenched tightly, and just before I could walk in, another voice struck a deeper nerve.

“If only Alpha Carlos were still here, he would have ripped out Alpha Alan’s heart for hurting his beloved cousin.”

“But we all know Alpha Carlos is gone. That means Luna Gabriella is completely finished now.”

Their words weren’t wrong. Alpha Carlos had been the only one who truly protected me before he suddenly disappeared.

“Why should we pity Luna Gabriella anyway? She’s a barren Luna—she can’t even give Alpha Alan an heir. Honestly, I think she deserves this.”

I shoved the door to the private lounge open wide. The room instantly fell silent. A few omegas stood frozen, and Beta Alice gave me a smug, satisfied smile—as if she’d been expecting me to hear every word. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Alpha Alan quickly drop the arm that had just been wrapped around Alice’s shoulders and hurried to approach me.

“Luna Gabby, you’re back?” Beta Alice greeted sweetly. “You’ve been so busy these past few days.”

I held my breath and forced a smile. “Yes, I’ve had social commitments that kept me occupied.” My voice was even, calm—every ounce of emotion buried deep. I wouldn’t give her the satisfaction of seeing me break. “Anyway, I’ll excuse myself.”

I turned and walked to my room, but Alpha Alan followed close behind.

“Wait, Luna Gabby,” he called. I stopped, and he reached for my waist. “You haven’t come home on time in days. Are you really busy—or just avoiding me?”

“I’ve been busy,” I replied curtly. “And haven’t you? Managing the pack and… Beta Alice?”

“Come on, Alice has been unwell. If I don’t take care of her, who will? Besides, you’ve been gone too.”

I let out a bitter smile. “Exactly. I’ve had my own responsibilities—community work and visa matters,” I said, laced with sarcasm.

“You’re still mad because I didn’t go with you for the visa paperwork?” he guessed.

“Of course not, Alpha Alan. It’s about priorities, isn’t it? Yours are the pack and Beta Alice. Mine are my visa and social causes.”

“You’re shutting me out, Luna Gabby. Don’t you see how exhausted I’ve been?” he snapped, anger creeping into his voice. “I need you here. I need to come home to your smile, your arms, my dinner, my clothes, everything ready. But all you ever do is focus on your own things.”

And now I understood. In Alpha Alan’s eyes, I wasn’t a Luna—I was just an omega dressed in Luna’s skin. Not a partner. Not an equal. Just a servant in silk.

“Fine. Let’s not argue about this anymore. Come with me tomorrow to the Alpha Council’s charity event. Beta Alice will be there too.”

“How noble. Isn’t she still injured from that deadly weapon?” I replied coldly.

“She’s my personal assistant. This is important for me too.”

I took a deep breath and gave him a long, icy stare. “Then go with Beta Alice. I have other things to attend to that I can’t postpone.”

I stepped into my room, slammed the door, and locked it behind me. My emotions were burning hot, and my resolve grew stronger than ever—I had to find Alpha Carlos.

The next day, to my dismay, I discovered that the charity event I had scheduled was now merged with the Alpha Council gathering. Which meant I had no choice but to face Alpha Alan and Beta Alice.

There I stood, like some fool of a Luna, as Alpha Alan continued to cling to Beta Alice with sickening affection in full view of everyone.

“Incredible, isn’t she?” someone whispered behind me. “Luna Gabriella really is something—watching her Alpha flirt so openly with another woman, and she just takes it.”

A sudden ringtone snapped me out of my thoughts. It was a call from Rudolf. A flicker of hope stirred within me.

“Yes, Rudolf? What is it?”

“I have good news. All the documents you submitted are ready. You can come and collect them.”
