The Forsaken Luna's Revenge

Katrina stood frozen outside the Alpha and Luna’s quarters, her heart pounding painfully in her chest. She didn’t want to believe it, but the unmistakable sounds from inside confirmed her worst fears. Moans, groans—her husband, Alpha Glenn, and her sister, Clara. The betrayal seeped into her bones, chilling her to the core.

She clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms as she turned away, forcing herself to walk past the door. She needed to escape before the pain consumed her. But just as she reached the hallway, hushed whispers filled her ears.

“She actually thought she deserved the Luna title?” one omega sneered.

“She’s a joke,” a Beta scoffed. “Now that the real daughter of Beta Eunice and Beta Klarence is back, she’s nothing but an imposter.”

Their laughter stung worse than any wound. Katrina bit her lip, swallowing the lump in her throat. Her wolf, Hera, growled in fury.

"We are strong. We trained harder than anyone. We earned this title. And yet they treat us like this?" Hera’s voice was a low snarl. "Why do you put up with this humiliation? Rip her apart! Let them see who we really are!"

Katrina inhaled deeply, trying to control the rage bubbling inside her. She wanted to lash out, to claim her rightful place, but what could she do? She wasn’t just fighting for her dignity—she was fighting against the cruel fate forced upon her.

With nowhere else to go, she made her way to the pack house office. It was her only sanctuary now.

An hour passed, and just as she began to lose herself in work, the door creaked open. She looked up—and there stood Clara.

She wore a crimson sleeveless dress that clung to her body, flaunting the fresh hickeys Glenn had given her. The smug smile on her lips made Katrina’s blood boil.

Clara sauntered over, settling herself onto Katrina’s desk as if she owned the place. “Still working so hard?” she cooed, tracing a lazy finger across the wooden surface. “You do know that the Luna’s role will be mine soon, right?”

Katrina met her gaze, her expression unreadable. “Nothing is set in stone since the beginning, Clara,” she replied firmly. “I earned this position.”

Clara laughed—a cruel, condescending sound. “Oh, Katrina. Being Luna isn’t about earning anything. It’s about the Alpha’s choice. And you know who between us what he wants, and it’s me.”

She leaned in close, her breath warm against Katrina’s face, and patted her cheek mockingly. “You failed to protect what was yours. That’s why I’m taking Glenn from you. But don’t be mad, dear sister. It was your fault to begin with.”

Katrina’s patience snapped. She glared at Clara, her wolf clawing at the edges of her consciousness.

Clara’s smirk faltered. She didn’t like the defiance in Katrina’s eyes. With a sneer, she raised her hand and struck Katrina hard across the face.

Pain bloomed across Katrina’s cheek, but before she could react, Clara grabbed a fistful of her hair and yanked. “You shouldn’t look at me like that, Katrina,” Clara hissed. “Maybe I should claw your eyes out?”

"Fight back!" Hera roared. "You are the Luna! Stop letting them walk over you!"

This time, Katrina listened. She shoved Clara away and, in one swift motion, slapped her across the face. The satisfying sound echoed through the room.

Clara stumbled back, eyes wide in shock. But before Katrina could savor the moment, the door burst open.

Glenn.

His furious gaze locked onto Katrina, and before she could explain, he rushed to Clara’s side, gripping her shoulders. “Are you hurt?” he asked, his voice laced with concern.

Clara whimpered, tears gathering in her eyes. “She attacked me, Glenn,” she whispered. “I was just talking to her, and she—”

Katrina’s stomach twisted. ‘Liar.’

Hera snarled, ready to break free, but Katrina forced her down. It was pointless. Glenn had already made his choice.

He turned to Katrina, rage darkening his features. “How dare you lay a hand on my mate?”

His words cut deeper than any wound.

Before she could respond, his hand struck her face.

The force of the slap sent her to the floor. Her vision blurred, pain exploding across her skin.

Glenn loomed over her, disgust in his eyes. “You’re a cruel woman,” he spat. “How could I have ever loved someone like you?”

Katrina clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms.

“You should be grateful you’re still in this pack,” Glenn continued coldly. “You’re still the Luna because you’re useful. But if you ever pull something like this again, expect a divorce and exile.”

He let go of her face harshly, shoving her away like she was nothing.

Katrina didn’t move. She kept her gaze lowered, hiding the storm brewing inside her.

Her wolf was howling, her heart was breaking—but deep inside, something else began to take root.

Not sorrow.

Not despair.

Something dark.

Something dangerous.

And this time, she wouldn’t hold it back.
