Rejected Mate's Vengeance Rising

The night I was awarded Best Actress, the grand screen at the ceremony mercilessly displayed my private photos. In an instant, I went from a celebrated actress to a pariah, hounded by the media. Even my family, the Lynch Pack, was threatened. Those photos, however, were taken by my own mate, Osiris Johnson. Determined to confront him, I headed to an exclusive club frequented by high-ranking werewolves. Before I could reach him, I overheard his conversation with his friends at the entrance. "Hey, Osiris," one of them sneered, "your mate’s photos are driving us crazy. How about bringing her over for a good time tonight?" Osiris chuckled, his voice dripping with disdain. "Sure, for five hundred bucks a night. That’s all she’s worth now." "Five hundred?" another laughed.

Chapter 1 of Rejected Mate's Vengeance Rising

How about bringing her over for a good time tonight?"

Osiris chuckled, his voice dripping with disdain. "Sure, for five hundred bucks a night. That’s all she’s worth now."

"Five hundred?" another laughed. "That wouldn’t even buy Noelle a bouquet of wolfsbane."

"She dared to stand in Noelle’s way," Osiris said coldly. "Anyone who upsets Noelle has to pay the price. Do as you please with her; I’ve got plenty of ways to keep her under control."

His words sent a chill through me, freezing me in place. My wolf whimpered in the back of my mind, a low growl of pain and betrayal.

“It’s all about her talent, right?” someone mocked, ogling the pictures. "Amiri winning Best Actress must’ve been the result of some backroom deal with Osiris. Who’d have thought she’s such a vixen in private?"

Osiris sneered, his voice sharp and cruel. "She’s just a shallow she-wolf who thought she could rise to fame by clinging to me. No wonder the internet is tearing her apart. She brought it on herself by being rude to Noelle."

My body shook with anger, but the threats to my family and the overwhelming hatred online forced me to stay silent. My wolf’s growl turned into a whimper, retreating into the depths of my mind.

Memories of my first meeting with Osiris flashed before me. It was backstage at a film award ceremony. He claimed to admire my acting and expressed his desire to sign me to his pack’s production company.

Soon after, he pursued me relentlessly, and I was swayed by his apparent sincerity, accepting his confession and signing with his company. I wanted to advance my career through hard work, so we agreed to keep our relationship private for now.

But rumors began to circulate, accusing me of getting close to him for fame. He reassured me, promising to handle everything and protect me from any harm.

Within days, he publicly announced our mate bond online, visiting me on set and lavishly expressing his affection, showcasing his admiration to the world. The gossip about me disappeared as our sweet romance dominated the headlines.

I was hopelessly captivated by his charms—until Noelle Bishop returned from abroad, and everything changed. Osiris withdrew his support, showering Noelle with all his attention, even allowing her to harass me.

It wasn’t until a drunken slip at a gathering that I learned Noelle was his elusive first love. I was just her lookalike, a mere substitute in his eyes.

A few days ago, at a party, I wore a necklace he had given me. Noelle posted on Instagram, lamenting how I flaunted it in her face, claiming I bullied her.

To teach me a lesson, Osiris chose to release my private photos at the peak of my success, letting me plummet from the heights into despair.

Listening to the degrading comments from the booth, I felt as if I had descended into an icy abyss.

Five years with Osiris, and I had shared everything with him, even letting him convince me to take those private photos, feeling embarrassed but ultimately agreeing.

I never imagined this mate bond would become a weapon he’d use to harm me.

I pulled out my phone and dialed Kyree’s number, my brother and the Gamma of the Lynch Pack. Tears streamed down my face as I spoke, "Kyree, I regret being with Osiris. Can you please come pick me up..."

Before I could say more, a malicious laugh interrupted me from behind.

"Well, look who’s here. Amiri Carter herself."

I turned in terror to see one of Osiris’s friends approaching me.

The phone was snatched from my hand, the call abruptly ended.

"We were about to invite you out, but here you are."

He grabbed my chin, forcing me to lift my head. "What? Not putting on a show anymore?"

Others gathered around.

“Amiri, Osiris sold you to us for five hundred bucks. You better serve us well, and maybe we’ll tip you something extra.”

Fear gripped me. I struggled with all my might.

"What you’re doing is illegal! You’ll face consequences!"

“Illegal?” he sneered as he dragged me into a room inside the booth.

The air was filled with the stench of smoke and whiskey, vile laughter, and obscene remarks...

My wolf growled, desperate to protect me, but I couldn’t shift here, not in front of them. I was trapped, my body trembling as they closed in.

"Osiris!" I screamed, hoping against hope that some part of him still cared. But no one came.

The door slammed shut, and I was alone with them.

His Betrayal Cost Me My Wolf And My Legs
The day before the final, my mate orchestrated a devastating scheme to ensure his favored talent, Francesca, would claim victory in the Pack Talent Show and steal the spotlight. As Alpha of the Blue Fang Pack, Leonard Howell’s word was law, and he used his authority to arrange a car accident that left me unable to shift into my wolf form or stand ever again. When I regained consciousness in the pack’s infirmary, the sterile scent of antiseptic filled the air. Leonard sat beside me, his towering frame dominating the room, his muscles tense even as he casually peeled an apple. His voice was calm, almost detached, as he said, "Arianna, hang in there a bit longer. The Healer says there’s a chance for your legs, so be patient. I’ll call him soon." His words sparked a flicker of hope within me. I reached for the call button, desperate to summon the Healer. But Leonard’s hand shot out, pressing mine down with an iron grip. The strength of an Alpha was overwhelming, and I felt my wrist ache under the pressure.

Just like the evening breeze leaves no trace
Chapter 1 It was their seventh wedding anniversary. Carolyn found the divorce agreement in Roger’s nightstand. The pages were covered in scribbles and corrections, as if he’d agonized over them for years. *"If, during the marriage, I fall in love with another person, I voluntarily relinquish all assets and leave with nothing. Asset details as follows…"* His first impulse had been to walk away empty-handed. But the asset section told a different story—a mess of revisions. First, he’d crossed out the property he intended to give her. Then, the fifty million earmarked for her was scratched out and replaced with five hundred thousand. Finally, as if in penance, he had written a single line. *"Better to have Carolyn leave with nothing. No choice, Catherine is pregnant."* … Carolyn sank onto the bed, disbelief washing over her. On the agreement, Roger’s signature was clean and decisive, without a hint of hesitation. And the document had been drafted seven years ago—the very year they married. That year, Roger had been willing to give up everything for her. Yet every year after, he had crossed out another piece of their shared life. Now, seven years later, the one leaving with nothing would be her. Her phone buzzed abruptly. A message from Roger. *"Urgent business. Won't be back."* She called, only to find his phone already switched off. Another notification flashed—a screenshot from a friend. Catherine, the student she sponsored, had posted on social media. *"Wow, got praised! To commemorate my first period without a leak, the big boss said we should celebrate properly!"* In a nine-photo collage, Roger gazed at her, eyes crinkling with affection as he fastened a dazzling gemstone necklace around her neck. The post was tagged at a couples-themed hotel. Carolyn’s breath caught. He couldn’t remember seven years of marriage, of weathering storms together—but he could find the energy to celebrate Catherine’s… leak-free period. And that pendant… she’d seen it at an auction just last week. It was her mother’s lost heirloom. She’d been ready to bid when her bank card was frozen. She’d asked Roger why. A long time later, he finally texted back, telling her not to waste money on such impractical things. Clutching her bidding paddle, she’d sat helplessly in the auction hall. In the end, she resolved to sell one of her own designs to raise the funds. But someone on the phone swooped in with an unbeatable offer and took it. For weeks afterward, Carolyn hated herself—hated that she couldn’t protect her mother’s last keepsake. She never imagined the one who snatched it away was Roger. He knew exactly how much that pendant meant to her. Yet he gave it to Catherine. Even on their seventh anniversary, Roger had lied about being busy with work, while wining and dining the girl she’d sponsored. The anniversary gift he left her was a divorce agreement demanding she leave with nothing. Seven years of marriage. Seven years of infidelity. And Carolyn had known nothing. She’d even introduced the other woman to him herself. Catherine was the impoverished student Carolyn sponsored. The first time Catherine came to their home to give thanks, Roger found her intrusive and disliked her on sight. *"That girl has no manners. Tracked mud all over my cashmere rug."* *"If her grades aren’t up to par, cut the sponsorship."* Back then, Carolyn had teased him, saying not to be jealous—it was good the girl had a grateful heart. She never once suspected Roger and Catherine. For seven years, everyone in their circle believed Roger never played around. That he loved only Carolyn. But by their next meeting, Catherine had become Roger’s personal assistant. Roger explained, *"The girl’s had it tough. You’ve sponsored her for years. Giving her a job is just helping you out."* Carolyn had laughed it off. Now, hands trembling, she opened Catherine’s social media feed. Catherine had always hidden her posts from Carolyn. Now, she seemed desperate to flaunt everything. While Carolyn drank until her stomach bled to secure a deal for Roger, Catherine was using Roger’s card to buy her first Louis Vuitton. While Carolyn changed bedpans for Roger’s bedridden grandmother, Roger was taking Catherine to a perfume atelier for a blending class—calling it a business trip. Catherine had even complained online. *"Your wife is such a pampered princess. Can't handle the tiniest thing without you running back. Can she not live without a man?"* And Roger had replied beneath it. *"If she were half as independent as you, I’d have an easier life."* But that day… Carolyn’s mother had lost her battle with cancer. She’d cried until her heart felt shredded, scrambling to handle the arrangements. All the while, Roger kept checking his phone impatiently, eager to leave. Not for work, she realized now—but because he was desperate to get back to Catherine.

Rejected by Fated Mate
Rejected by Fated Mate
The scent of antiseptic and herbs filled the air as I guided my mother's wheelchair into Lilith's treatment room. Hope fluttered in my chest—maybe this new healer could ease the chronic pain that had plagued my mother since the accident that left her paralyzed. "Thank you for coming," Lilith said, her voice dripping with false sweetness as she gestured toward the examination table. "I've been studying your mother's case. I believe my traditional methods might help where others have failed." My mother smiled weakly, her once-vibrant face now hollow with pain. "Anything that might help, dear. The pack doctor said there's little they can do." "I need to fetch some water," Lilith said, turning to me. "Would you mind? It's just down the hall." "Of course," I replied, squeezing my mother's hand before leaving them alone. The hallway seemed longer than usual.
