Mafia's Forbidden Love

Louisa’s POV

My nose twitched as I was met with an unfamiliar scent the minute I stepped on the front porch. I did not know which was stronger, the sugary smell of the red velvet cake I was holding, or the scent of vanilla and roses coming from inside the Villa

I pushed the door open, careful not to make a noise. The scent of vanilla enveloped me again, this time stronger.

Lust-filled moans and whimpers slipped through the crack in the door. My entire body quivered as I covered my mouth in absolute shock when I saw two partially naked bodies entangled on the bed.

“This is the best birthday I have ever celebrated, Isabella.” I heard Sebastian's voice.

“I'm sure you have said the same thing to my sister.” Isabella scoffed.

“She doesn't come close to you Isabella, you are the one I truly love. Very soon, I will find a way to get rid of her.” Sebastian said, and tears streamed down my face as I clutched the carefully wrapped present to my chest.

Right before my eyes, the marriage I had worked so hard for three years came crashing down.

I stood still oblivious as I tried to process the fact that I had just seen my husband and adopted sister in bed together.

Seven years ago, the hospital where I had been born called to inform my parents that I was not their biological child. I was swapped at birth, and Isabella happens to be the real daughter of my parents.

My life has been miserable ever since, with all the love and attention given to Isabella. I was treated with so much contempt and hatred.

As if taking away my parent's love for me wasn't enough, Isabella stole my husband’s love as well.

Marrying Sebastian was the only good thing I had going well for me, but even that has slipped through my hands

I shut my eyes and drew some breath. I might just die if I continued to stay here and hear them make love.

I turned and fled for my life, my head pounding. I could feel my heart ripping out of my body.

l made it to the gate of the villa and slumped on the floor.

“Aaaahhhh!” I screamed in anguish, holding my chest.

Hours passed, and the tears finally stopped coming. I stood up and gave the villa a final glance before leaving.

I staggered through the bustling street, my mind blank. I was forced to a halt the minute I heard a loud noise in my subconscious. I turned, and it was a club.

My lips curved up in a smile. I heaved a deep sigh and made my way inside the club.

“I want some drink,” I said to the bartender who attended to me.

“I'm sorry, my baby, I should never have forced my way with your father that night. Then, I would never have been pregnant with you.” I whimpered as I gulped down the shot in one breath.

Three months ago, I had forced my way with Sebastian. For the three years we have been married, he refused to sleep with me.

“Now I know the reason why,” I muttered silently. It's all because of my sister Isabella.

On our third anniversary, I convinced Sebastian to come to the De Luca Hotel, where I had made reservations using all my allowance for six months, just so we could have an enjoyable experience.

I was just a housewife and depended only on the money my husband gave to me.

Sebastian came, and we made love. I was able to seduce him shamelessly thanks to the alcohol I took that night to aid the process.

“You are sweet, dolcezza mia bella!” Sebastian exclaimed as we made love with passion.

I finally thought he was warming up to me after years of treating me indifferently.

And when I found out I was pregnant two months ago. I thought it was best to wait till his birthday so it could be a surprise gift.

I spared a glance at the package I was supposed to present to Sebastian. It was the pregnancy test wrapped in a box.

I returned home to the mansion and found the lights turned on. That could only mean Sebastian was back home.

“Elena, why are you so late?” He asked, his voice laced with concern, making me cringe at how well he could pretend.

“It’s my birthday, and I was hoping that you would have prepared a surprise, but even the dinner is not cooked yet.” I looked at my husband, who said with some displeasure, his eyes flicking to my sorry form in distaste.

“I…” my voice cracked into sobs, but I quickly sniffed back the tears.

“Are you okay?” He asked me, sounding irritated.

“Sebastian I need to…” I was beginning to say when his phone chimed and a message from Isabella popped up.
