I had believed the pain had already reached the end.
Yet in the next moment,my phone rang,and I heard my younger brother’s voice.
“Sis,I heard Marcus bullied you.Dad asked me to wait for you,but I truly can’t wait.I’m coming to bring you home now.”
Right after he spoke,I saw him standing not far from the villa.
When he noticed me being forced to kneel on the ground,he first looked puzzled,then worried.
His anger took over his mind,and he failed to notice the surroundings.
In the next moment,I watched with my own eyes as Marcus’s car hit my younger brother and sent him flying right in front of me!
“No!”My eyes widened with anger as I broke away from the bodyguards and stumbled toward my younger brother.
Seeing him keep coughing up blood,my hands shook hard.The ambulance would need at least an hour to arrive.
But his current state could not hold on that long at all!
I forced myself up and frantically hit Marcus’s car window with both hands,shouting in a rough voice,“Marcus!Open the door,quickly take my brother to the hospital!”
I kept pounding on the window,not caring about the pain in my hands.
After a few minutes,the window slowly rolled down.
Inside the car,Marcus held Athena tightly in his arms.
The impact earlier had clearly injured him quite badly as well.
Yet Athena had been guarded by him and was not hurt at all.
I ignored the bitterness rising in my chest and hurriedly said,“Marcus,my brother is seriously hurt.The ambulance will need another hour.Hurry and take him to the hospital.”
Marcus frowned deeply.

My nails bent backward from the pressure.My brother’s state kept getting worse.Panic made me lose all control.I could only grasp Marcus tightly.
Athena would not stop crying.When Marcus saw her condition worsen,he lost all reason and caught my hand,twisting it back.
The severe pain made me scream out loud.
Marcus looked at me with a dark expression and warned,“If you don’t let go,I'll run over your brother again!”
When I heard those words,I finally let go.
Heavy despair filled my chest.
I turned and tried to save my brother,but my hands shook hard.
Even though he was in great pain,my brother still comforted me.“It’s okay,sis.I can hold on.When I get better,I'll take you away.”
Seeing his face become paler and paler,my tears fell even more heavily.
I used all my ability,power,and learning to try to save my brother.
But I could only watch without help as his life faded little by little.
At that moment,Marcus’s car window rolled down again,and hope lit up inside me.
But I only heard him say in a cold voice,“Stop her.She doesn’t have a medical license now and cannot treat the patient.Don’t let him die and bring trouble to the Guerrero Corporation.”
“Marcus!”I shouted.
He did not even glance at me.In the final second before the window shut,I saw Athena’s eyes.
She had won.
She truly took everything from me again.
Marcus’s shout came from behind me.
My hands were tightly held by the bodyguards.Even though I struggled and shouted until my voice turned rough,I could only watch as my brother’s life faded little by little.
By the time the ambulance came,an hour had already passed.My brother had long stopped breathing.
