In my previous life, my daughter, Isabel, and I had been relying on each other. Then, I remarried Kellan Reid and entrusted him with the company I worked hard to establish. After that, I stayed at home to take care of the family.

I was educating Mose Reid, my stepson.

I opened my eyes with the strong smell of disinfectant permeating my nostrils.

I stared at the ceiling, feeling puzzled.

I had died in the hospital, but when I opened my eyes, I was still in the ward.

"Mom, you're awake. That's great!"

I looked towards the sound and saw my 8-year-old stepson leaning over the edge of the bed. Looking at me obediently, he smiled pretentiously.

Trembling all over, I couldn't say anything due to excitement.
