After I Left My Alpha Mate, He Regretted It

Mia's POV :

The baby was snatched from me before I even had a chance to breastfeed her for the first time.

I couldn’t hold her; I could only hear her cries and watch as my little daughter was carried away by the nurse, away from me as if I were a monster devouring my own flesh and blood.

This wasn't the first time. Six pregnancies in five years. Six pregnancies, four children born safely, and two miscarriages.

My stomach hurt terribly. My lower back felt broken. My moans of pain filled the room. But the man standing in the corner of the room showed no sign of concern or care, even though I had just safely delivered his fourth child.

“Alpha, this is too much for her. You should give her some time to rest. She can’t get pregnant again anytime soon.”

The pack doctor, Dr. Joseph, tried to persuade Logan to give me a break from pregnancy.

“How long?”

His cold voice sent a chill through my body.

“Three years. Give her three years, then prepare for the birth of the fifth child.”

“No. That's too long. She's a tough female wolf and was born an omega. Her body is prepared for reproduction. Keep giving her the potion.”

Tears streamed down the corners of my eyes. My body was still in pain, my blood hadn't dried yet, but Logan still ordered preparations for the seventh pregnancy without caring that my life was at risk. My body felt like it was breaking from the inside.

I clenched my fists on the sheets, trying to hide my tears and stifle my moans of pain with the pillow.

"Alpha, even though Mia is a strong female wolf, giving birth repeatedly is too much for her. Two previous miscarriages of twins had left fatal wounds on her body. Even so, you still forced her to give birth to a fourth child, and Mia's body had reached its limit. Her body was in pain and no longer strong enough for a fifth child, and even medicine couldn't help her. If she were forced to give birth to a fifth child, it would take her life."

“She can handle it,” Logan replied indifferently. “She’s strong and has been through this for five years.”

‘Oh, why doesn’t he give birth himself?’ My wolf, Lena, whispered angrily in my mind.

My eyes closed tightly, the conversation between Logan and Dr. Joseph becoming faint.

But soon after, Logan's sharp voice gave that unquestionable order again, ringing loud and clear in my ears.

“That's what the potion is for. Don't waste the pack's resources given to you and Mia.”

Doctor Joseph sighed resignedly, then answered obediently, “Yes, Alpha.”

“Make sure she recovers. I'll go see Luna to tell her about Lily's birth. She always feels sad whenever the children are born.”

Just because Luna couldn't give birth and was infertile, this was where the role of breeder was forced upon me.

Every time I give birth to a child, Logan quickly goes to see Luna Olivia, calms her down, and showers her with the best gifts as compensation, as if Olivia is the one suffering, not me, who has repeatedly passed through the gates of death to ensure that Alpha's offspring are born safely into the world.

Logan Sinclair, the Alpha of the Wildfire Pack, is renowned as a multi-billionaire entrepreneur in South America.

His love story and loyalty to his mate, Olivia Wright, are well known worldwide. However, no one knows that I am his true destined mate.

Initially, on my 18th birthday, I discovered that Logan was my destined mate, chosen by the Moon Goddess.

I thought he would be happy because I had grown up under his love and care. Thanks to my parents' good relationship with Madam Freya, I was taken care of by the Alpha family after my father died and my mother fell into a vegetative in an accident when I was a child.

Unfortunately, all I got was Logan's cold face and rejection. The next day, Logan brought another mate, Olivia Wright, and immediately made her Luna.

Only then did I realize that Logan rejected me because I was still the daughter of a former maid, very different from Olivia, the honorable daughter of the Northwind Alpha.

Olivia was also the one who saved Logan from being hunted down by enemy packs. However, Olivia was seriously injured, shot by a bullet coated with silver poison while saving Logan. The poison had damaged her womb.

Logan didn't mind and announced to the world that Olivia was his only mate, even though she would never be able to have children.

The pack elders and Madam Freya did not accept this decision, which caused a huge argument between them. To resolve the conflict, Luna Olivia generously offered Logan a woman to continue the Alpha's bloodline and maintain harmony between Logan and the pack elders.

Olivia chose me specifically, and then Logan forced me into the role of breeder at Olivia's request.

They gave me no choice but to refuse.

I couldn't accept that, and desperately begged Madam Freya to persuade Logan to choose someone else.

Madam Freya sighed, looking at me with loving eyes, but her answer was as cold as her son's. "Mia, your mother is still in a coma in the hospital. You worked hard for the Alpha family to pay for your mother's treatment. If I withdraw this medical support, your mother will have no chance of survival. Do you want your mother to die?"

My heart was shattered into pieces. What would I do without my mother?

Madam Freya promised to set me free, as long as I successfully gave birth to five children for Alpha Logan.

However, only four children were born safely. I had suffered a miscarriage during my first pregnancy and lost twins at seven months. The miscarriages had destroyed my body, leaving me with endless pain for the past year, and I still had to give birth to the fourth child safely.

I really couldn't bear the pain that continued to eat away at me anymore. If I have to give birth to a fifth child, I doubt I will survive to see my mother wake up from her coma.

No one will care if I die. All my children will still belong to Luna Olivia, and they will never remember me as their mother.

Then, who will take care of my mother in the future? My mother may feel guilty for the rest of her life if her only daughter dies for her sake.

I don't want to die and be buried here after all my suffering. I have to live to see my mother again.

The sound of footsteps fading away pulled me out of my thoughts, my blurred vision watching Logan's sturdy back as he walked away.

From beginning to end, Logan had only come to see the child born, to make sure the baby looked perfect and healthy, then left without asking how I felt, whether I was happy or grateful to have passed through the gates of death to give birth to his children.

Dr. Joseph approached me. His concerned gaze was painful and made me want to cry.

“I'm sorry you had to hear all that.”

“You don't seem to know Alpha.” I tried to chuckle. But all that came out was a cry of pain.

The doctor sighed helplessly, then took a bowl containing a thick black liquid and handed it to me.

“I'm sorry, Mia... but you have to drink this. Your body will recover quickly, and it will ease the pain of childbirth. Then you will prepare for the birth of your fifth child.”

The bitter smell of the medicine made my stomach churn. I had been drinking it for the past five years, but the smell and taste still made me nauseous.

“I'll drink it,” I gritted my teeth, trying to hold back the nausea and anger in my chest.

Doctor Joseph stayed, watching me drink the potion. He wouldn't leave until I finished it in front of him.

I took a deep breath, held back my tears, and drank it in one gulp.

I drank it only so that my body would recover quickly and I could get out of this hellhole that would swallow me alive, then take my mother away.

“All right. You need to rest...” Dr. Joseph took the empty bowl and left my room, followed by several other nurses, leaving me to rest.

After everyone left, I wiped my tears, took the cell phone hidden under the bedside drawer, and called someone.

After a few moments, the call connected.

“Who’s this …”

“Alpha Asher, do you still remember me?”

There was a pause before a deep voice answered. “Yes, of course, I still remember you, Miss Klein.”

Alpha Asher, of the Blackwood Pack. The strongest Alpha, feared by all packs in South America, and Logan’s rival and sworn enemy.

I saved him a few days ago when Logan took me to the Moon Temple. Alpha Asher had been severely wounded in an attack by another werewolf pack

I gave him the rare Moonflower Elixir, which only the Sinclair family possesses. The elixir was a gift from Madam Freya to heal my body after I miscarried twins, and I never imagined that it would now make Alpha Asher indebted to me.

“I want to collect on your promise to repay your debt.”

“Yes, of course. What can I do to help?”

"I want you to fake my death and move my mother out of the hospital. Make me die in front of Logan, so he believes he killed me and won't look for me or force me to have children anymore. After that, prepare a fake identity for me.“

”Okay. But I need time.“

”I'll give you until the Moonlight Birth Fest. You and your pack will be guests in the Wildfire Pack Territory. You have one week to prepare everything.“

The Moonlight Birth Fest is a tradition to welcome the birth of a werewolf child. Every pack holds a Moonlight Birth Fest every year.

”Okay."

Alpha Asher’s answer relieved me. I just needed to be patient and wait.

A few days later, during my recovery, the pack was busy preparing for the celebration of their fourth child's birth, Lily. Invitations were sent out to various packs. They would arrive a week early to attend the hunting event before the Moonlight Birth Fest.

Everyone was happy, but I was not. I was filled with fear and anxiety, trying to find a way to stop Logan from coming to my room. Logan and the Pack were determined that I give birth to a fourth child, without caring in the slightest about my life coming to an end.

I was roughly pulled out of my bed. A shout rang out, “Get up! Giving birth doesn't give you the right to be lazy!”
