I gritted my teeth and glared at her. Ever since I became a breeder, everyone at the Packhouse looked down on me, treating me as nothing more than a reproductive tool and a third wheel in the relationship between Alpha and Luna.
“What? Are you going to hit me?”
The maid lifted her chin haughtily in front of me. “Get up quickly; Luna is calling for you.”
I forced myself to get up, ignoring the maid’s sharp, condescending gaze.
As Luna’s personal maid, she must be targeting me on Olivia’s orders.
“Why are you so slow? Everyone at the Packhouse is busy preparing for the Moon Child’s birthday party; you’re the only one being lazy and idle.”

I took a deep breath, then sat stiffly next to Olivia. Olivia looked at me with a sweet smile.
"Look at the invitations on the table. Who do you think we should invite to the Moonlight Birth Fest?"
"That's not my job. You have to decide, Luna," I replied, trying to keep my distance.
"Don't be so stiff. After all, you are Lily's mother. You decide who to invite. Logan has given his permission."
I kept my head down, not looking at Logan, whose gaze was constantly on me. "Okay, I'll just follow Luna's wishes. But I don't know anyone outside the Wildfire Pack. "
Logan stood up from the sofa.
" I'm going back to work. Continue your conversation," he said, then left the room.
As soon as Logan left, the gentle and friendly smile on Olivia's face immediately faded, replaced by a colder expression. She handed the baby in her arms to the maid.
"It's so exhausting taking care of children. Simon, Lorcan and Felix cry constantly, keeping me awake," she complained, talking about—no, belittling—my sons.
"They're wild children who can't sit still."

“If the Wildfire Pack no longer needs her, I'll send her to the Moonstone Pack to be a breeder if you want her.”
"Ah, that's great," the man beamed, disgustingly looking at my body.
They talked about me as if I were a commodity. My hands clenched as I stared sharply at Luna.
"Luna, if there's nothing else you need from me, I'll take my leave."
Without waiting for Olivia's response, I turned and hurried away. Behind me, I heard John talking to Olivia.
"She has an arrogant temperament and doesn't respect you, Luna."
“Mia has always been like that, thinking she's so high and mighty. She won't last long in this Pack. I'll make sure she becomes a breeder for another Pack."
