I glared at him angrily, my voice cold, “You dare? Eric, you are just a businessman. Do you really think you can act with impunity?”
He scoffed, “Why wouldn’t I dare? Do you think threatening me will work?”
“You really don't know, do you?” He looked up at me, looking down on me. “In this city, the Morton Family reigns supreme.”
The onlookers also urged me.
“Young lady, listen to us. Just bow your head.”
“Mr. Morton is not an ordinary person. His family is not just wealthy, they have special connections. Even those in power wouldn’t dare to offend him lightly.”

I quickly reported the situation, “Sir, I'm at the wedding room right now. The people who blew it up... are right in front of me.”

My supervisor was so enraged by her arrogance that he was speechless for a moment, only letting out a deep breath.
