The wine splashed all over her body, the broken glass stabbed her bare feet and the solid wood cabinet fell down and hit her arm.
Vivianne laid on the floor miserably, sweating all over from the pain.
In a daze, she seemed to hear the sound of bones breaking.
"Are you crazy, Lucas? Hurry, call an ambulance!"
Kiara screamed, then she was about to step forward and help Vivianne, but Lucas who had an iron face, pulled her hand.
"Don't worry about her! It's just a minor injury. She won't die."
"I've given her a choice. She's the one who doesn't know what's good for her. She even dared to insult you. I don't know how arrogant she'll become if I don't teach her a lesson!"
Lucas' cold gaze fell on Vivianne and he said, "Remember this! Kiara is your future sister-in-law and the future lady of this family. Show her some respect in the future."
Vivianne was almost dying from the pain.
She bit her lip too hard and the blood flowed out from the corners of her lips, mixing with the red wine that flowed from her head, leaving scars on her fair skin.
She used all her strength to look at him and asked in a low voice, "Lucas, what have you treated me like in these five years?"
"You -"
Just as Lucas was about to speak, Kiara interrupted him.
"Alright, alright, stop arguing. I'm tired and sleepy. Lucas, can you go up and help me clean up the room? Vivianne is still weak. Let me talk to her for a while."
The way she spoke was so gentle and her gaze emitted tenderness and love.
The anger and hostility on Lucas' face immediately subsided.
He lowered his head and gave Kiara's forehead a kiss, then he signaled a warning to her before going upstairs.
The spacious living room fell silent again.
Vivianne's hand must have been broken and she felt dizzy.
But she did not want to appear weak in front of Kiara and struggled to get up from the floor.
She heard a mocking voice coming from above her head.
"Are you pretending to be weak and pitiful? It's a pity."
"It's a pity, the only one who might feel sorry for you has already gone upstairs and me, your love rival, would wish you to be even more miserable."
Vivianne raised her head and replied, "Kiara, don't push yourself too far."
"So what?"
Kiara sneered, took a step forward and squatted in front of her, "As you can see, I came in and snatched your most precious man away, what can you do?"
"You!"
"Seeing your pitiful appearance, I'll be honest with you."
Kiara curled her lips, then lifted Vivianne's chin.
She had such a gentle and charming face, but the words she spoke sounded as if they were filled with poison.
"I met Lucas when you were seventeen years old and after dating for more than two years, we broke up because we were young and impetuous. He kept pestering me for a long time until I married my first husband and gave up. Then, as you know, he confessed his feelings to you and took you back to the Cannavales."
"You ... what did you say ...."
Vivianne's whole body was stiff and even her lips were trembling when she spoke.
Kiara patted her shoulder indifferently and said, "Don't be so surprised, Vivianne. You should feel grateful because you are somewhat similar to me so you can live the life of a little princess for five years."
"Two years ago, after I divorced my first husband, Lucas came to me drunk in the middle of the night and then I found out that he hadn't let me go yet. That day ...."
She paused, then leaned close to Vivianne's ear and said softly and maliciously, "That day, we did it. Even after such a long time, we are still harmonious and happy."
