Werewolf Mirror

Various events happened in my village, Swansea village which also involved the noble family, George. It is said that the mystery mirror is a den of werewolves. However, I wonder if there really is a werewolf’s lair in the mirror? What kind of mirror is a werewolf’s lair? Then, can they live in the mirror?

Chapter 1

In the Voltre castle, a party was being held to celebrate the harvest of grapes owned by the noble Hurley family. The castle was filled with the arrival of villagers from the four villages in the area. They were joyfully celebrating the bountiful harvest festival that was always held by the wealthy noble family. The villagers danced and sang, expressing their happiness, while the music played beautifully.

George looked at his wife from the terrace. The beautiful woman was chatting with two guests, while their three children were playing with some of the villagers’ children. The nobleman was very satisfied with the abundant harvest, which made him even wealthier. Furthermore, his wine business was thriving worldwide.

All the inhabitants of the castle were highly respected by the villagers, as they worked as farmers on the land of the esteemed wealthy family. George gazed at his wife from a distance with love, and Marinda unintentionally turned towards him. The handsome and gallant man signaled his wife to come closer. They exchanged smiles and teasing glances before Marinda lovingly embraced her husband.

From afar, a middle-aged woman stared at the couple with a strange look, seemingly indifferent to the happiness felt by the villagers. Shortly after, she left the Voltre castle and returned home, without any of the villagers being surprised or concerned about the departure of Kimmy Affleck.

George and Marinda entered the castle and met with some of their guests before leaving them and heading to the family room. George stood in front of the dressing mirror hanging on the wall and stared at it for a long time. Marinda observed her husband’s behavior and eventually stood beside him.

“How beautiful this mirror is, my love,” George said, embracing Miranda’s shoulder.”Indeed, my love, and we must take good care of it,” Miranda replied with a smile.

“Look at how clear this mirror is, anyone who sees it will surely be captivated,” George said as he wiped the frame of the large mirror.

“And this mirror makes our lives happy, and when I look at it, it’s as if my beauty increases,” Miranda replied, laughing loudly.

They hugged each other joyfully as they left the room to meet the guests again, the party still going on late into the night.

The next day, in the castle courtyard, several servants were seen cleaning up the scattered trash, making the view ugly. They worked with enthusiasm, even Frank, a servant who had just started working at the castle two days ago, joined them in the courtyard.

“Well, there must be another strange incident that will happen in one of the villages,” John said as he lifted the trash.

“Why are you so sure?” Frank asked, looking at John with a probing gaze.

“You are a new employee here, even though you are our neighbor, but you still don’t know what happened in one of the villages,” John replied, shaking his head.

“What happened there?” Frank asked, becoming more confused.

Suddenly, Malcolm approached John and warned the young man not to continue the useless conversation.

“Don’t talk too much if you still want to work here!” Malcom snapped, his eyes wide open.

“I’m just telling Frank to be cautious about that village,” John replied, looking down.

“Never talk about that village again, or Mr. George will be angry,” Malcom replied as he walked away from the two servants.

John immediately resumed his work without looking at Frank again, and shortly after, the man left with a broom. Now Frank was the only one left standing there, looking at John, suspecting that he was hiding a mysterious story that made him even more curious. When lunchtime arrived, all the servants gathered in the dining room at the back.

Malcolm looked at John, who was sipping a cup of hot coffee, his gaze never leaving the servant who he thought was too bold to speak while working. The head of the household did not realize that Frank was also watching him as he ate. Malcolm continued to watch John with a grimace on his face, and this made Frank even more puzzled by the head of the household’s behavior.

Night came, bringing with it silence, where nocturnal animals began to make their sounds, while in his room, Frank couldn’t close his eyes. He was still thinking about John’s words, asking him to be cautious about some villages, and finally, sleep attacked him, and Frank fell asleep without realizing that something was happening.

From inside the living room, the howl of a Werewolf suddenly sounded so loud that Frank, who had just fallen asleep, immediately got up from his bed. He was very surprised to hear the sound, so he walked to the door and pressed his ear against it, and it turned out that Frank could hear it clearly, but he heard the front door open and the howl of the Werewolf disappeared into the darkness in an instant.

Frank was puzzled by the disappearance of the Werewolf’s sound, so he tried to investigate by opening his bedroom door and walking slowly, observing his surroundings. When he arrived there, he saw that the front door was wide open, and the night breeze blew against his body, making him feel the cold air that now made him shiver.

He quickly closed the door and locked it tightly, then Frank approached the fireplace and sat down to warm his body, placing both palms near the fire. He took a deep breath of relief as his body began to feel the warmth.

The atmosphere in the room was very quiet, and Frank was still thinking about the incident until he didn’t realize that Mr. George was standing not far from the chair he was sitting on.

“Can’t you sleep, Frank?” George said with a friendly smile.

Frank, who was sitting and staring at the fireplace, was surprised and immediately stood up in fear when he saw his master, and he quickly explained everything so that his master wouldn’t be angry with him.

“I’m sorry, Mr. George, I accidentally sat in your favorite chair!” Frank exclaimed, saluting George.

“It’s okay, but why aren’t you sleeping so late at night?” George asked, looking puzzled.

“Earlier, I heard a howl from inside the living room, so I tried to find the source of the sound,” Frank replied, still standing.

“Did I hear it wrong?” George asked, surprised.

Frank explained that he saw the door wide open and heard the howl of the Werewolf clearly, but George still didn’t believe his servant’s words, thinking that he was experiencing a severe hallucination, so he told his servant to go back to his room and sleep immediately. With quick steps, Frank quickly walked away from his master’s presence, his mind in disarray after explaining the event he had witnessed. He did not expect that Mr. George would not believe his words and even asked him to leave immediately.
