I turned back slowly in disbelief and looked at Zara who rushed towards her mother.
"Mom, are you okay?" She looked nervous and quickly checked her mother without even looking at me.
The burning sensation on my body came again and I gasped in pain.
"Quick, call an ambulance for me..."
Zara got angry when she heard it, her face full of anger, she turned around and glared at me fiercely.
"It's not me... it's your mother..." I tried to explain.
"Stop talking!" She growled at me.
"You mean my mother fell down on purpose and poured the soup on you? I just saw you push my mother!"
I wanted to refute, but I couldn't open my mouth because of the severe pain on my body, revealing a painful look,
"Don't pretend! The soup has been made for so long, it has been cold long ago! Why pretend to be weak!"
Zara's mother was still lying on the ground and she was madly attacking me.
Zara looked at me with a cold look in her eyes, "Leon, hurry up and apologize to my mother!"
The pain in my body was secondary, looking at this woman who kept saying he loved me, but now she became so strange, I couldn't catch my breath and fainted directly.
When I woke up again, I was already lying in the hospital.
"You said this family is really something. This patient has severe burns and no one is looking after him, but the old lady is alive and kicking and now she is still undergoing a full body check... I am really impressed..."
"Shh, stop talking, he is awake..."
I opened my eyes and two nurses rushed over to check my wounds.
"Please help me contact this person..."
I spoke weakly and asked the nurse to help contact my assistant Jane, asking her to come and help me as soon as possible.
Seeing that I would have to lie in bed for a while, I finally relaxed after I talked to her on the phone and settled everything.
I was tied up like a mummy and I could hardly move. The burning sensation from all over my body almost tortured me crazy.
But what I didn't expect was that Zara never came again from that day. Not even a simple greeting. My heart became colder day by day.
Fortunately, Jane took care of me during this period and I recovered quite well.
Finally I was discharged from the hospital. I ignored Jane's objection and continued to research the takeaway situation.
But to my surprise, the strange thing was that I always received a lot of complaints for no apparent reason, especially from people in the neighborhood where Zara's mother lived. Some even reported me for stealing.
Zara seemed to have disappeared and never came to my rental house again. I guessed that it was her mother who was making trouble again, so I simply ignored her.
That afternoon, the sun was a little dazzling.
I rode my electric car, humming a song and rushed to deliver a portion of spicy hot pot.
As a result, I passed by that familiar and disgusting neighborhood again. I was still wondering in my heart whether Zara's mother would come up with any new tricks to report me this time.
As soon as the thought flashed through my mind, a figure suddenly jumped out from the green belt on the side of the road without any warning! It was that old lady!
My pupils shrank suddenly and I subconsciously hit the handlebars hard, while squeezing the brakes tightly, but the figure rushed towards me and pushed me hard. Inertia caused me and the car to fall out together. My elbows and knees were aching, as if they had been rubbed hard by sandpaper.
The incubator also flew out and the takeaway inside was scattered all over the floor.
It was over, this order was completely ruined.
I struggled to get up, my head was still a little dazed.
Then, I heard that familiar, sharp and mean voice, "Ouch! The takeaway driver hit someone! Killed someone!"
