Shane looked at her with disdain. "Cherry, why are you always thinking about a paralyzed old loser like her? You're wasting your time serving her. She might as well just die.”
The comments immediately boiled over.
"Fuck, what kind of son is this? He actually cursed his mother to death right in front of her!"
"The key is, even a mother like this beastly son still loves him! Eight million! She gave it all to this beast without blinking an eye!"
"I really don't know what she's thinking. Her daughter went into debt and even divorced to take care of her and she didn't get a penny. She's so blindly partial!"
"She doesn't love such a filial daughter, but loves this inhumane son. She favors boys over girls to this extent. No wonder she's paralyzed!"
Shane ultimately didn't help. Meanwhile, Cherry spent over an hour cleaning me. She was sweating profusely, but she still carefully changed me into clean clothes and placed me in a wheelchair.
"Mom, are you hungry? I'll make you dinner," she said to me.
Exhausted, Cherry nearly fainted as she stood up. But she only paused for a few seconds before forcing herself back into the kitchen.
Soon, she served steamed fish, braised pork, stir-fried vegetables and a pot of steaming chicken soup. She brought the meal to me, then scooped a spoonful of chicken soup, carefully cooled it and placed it in my mouth.
"Mom, I made today's chicken soup specially from fresh free-range chicken I bought from a farm in the countryside. You used to love it so much. Come and try it."
I turned my head away and said coldly, "I don't want to eat."
Cherry’s eyes were filled with worry, "Mom, you already have diarrhea. If you don't eat something to replenish your body, you won't be able to handle it."
I looked at her, my tone still cold, "I have no appetite."
After that, I looked at Shane, who was lying on the sofa playing with his phone and said gently, "Shane, I want to eat that cake on the coffee table."
Shane without even looking up, said impatiently, "I bought it for myself. If you want to eat it, push your wheelchair and go buy it yourself!"
Cherry glared at him and said kindly, "Mom, eat first. Afterward, I'll buy you a cake later, okay?"
I shook my head stubbornly, refusing to eat her meal. Seeing this scene, the comments went wild.
"Is this old lady crazy? She won't eat her daughter's cooking, but insists on her son's cake?"
"I originally thought she was just partial, but I didn't expect her to be so mean. Her son treated her like that and she's still thinking about his things?"
"Poor daughter, she's been busy all day, working for nothing, painstakingly preparing a table full of food and her mother doesn't even glance at it."
"It's disgusting! The more I watch, the more I think this mother is a piece of shit!"
The first day of the livestream ended. The livestream screen was filled with insults directed at me.
The next day, Cherry got home from get off work a little earlier than usual. When she came in, she was holding a delicate paper box. Inside the box was a piece of creamy strawberry cake.
"Mom, didn't you want cake yesterday? I went out to buy it after get off work. It's your favorite strawberry flavor. Come try it," she handed the cake to me, her eyes gleaming with anticipation.
I glanced at the cake and said indifferently, "I don't want to eat it now."
A flicker of disappointment and sadness crossed her face.
But she forced a smile and said, "What do you want to eat? I'll make it for you."
I gave her a cold look, "I don't want to eat anything you cook."
