Lily's p o v
"Babe,, they are just joking with you, you are just too serious." Joe tried to coax me. I shook his hand away coldly and gritted my teeth. Had he forgotten what he had said about me some minutes ago. Oh, I forgot he was drunk.
Zack had turned away from me and I forced myself to believe that all that was just a joke from him as well. It hadn't seemed so. Or was I really overreacting?
"You guys play by yourselves! I'm going back upstairs to rest." Just as I was about to leave.
"Alright, I won't stop you." Joe said and handed me a glass of milk. "Have your milk first! It's for calcium supplements. After that you can go and rest!"
I looked at the milk in Joe's hand and my body trembled for no reason. "Is this a daily necessity now?"
"I'm just worried about your calcium deficiency in the late pregnancy and want to supplement you! Don't you still trust your husband or what?" Joe still looked concerned. I pushed the milk away. "I don't want it. I'm sick."
Joe's face quickly turned cold. "I've given you enough face today. I'm doing this for your own good. Drink it quickly."
"Joe, don't be so fierce. If Lily doesn't want to drink, don't force her. You know she's pregnant. You should be more nice." Lyndsey said but all I could do was stare at her with hidden hatred. She was pretending to be on my side and she was so good at it. "Maybe you should just get some water."
I don't know how she knew that this whole thing had made me so thirsty. I walked past them and opened the fridge to have a full from the bottle before heading upstairs.
I badly needed some rest and to get away from them. But once I got on the step, my vision began to turn and blur and it was as if I was going to fall.
It became impossible for me to continue my journey. And upon that I felt some itches as if worms were eating away at my inside.
Holding on to the railing I looked back to see they were all staring at me like they were expecting what would happen.
"What did you put in my drink?" After asking this question, my legs felt as heavy as if they were filled with lead and then my body softened and fell into a strange embrace. My eyes were hazy and I could only see Zack's evil face looking at me impatiently and his hands kept stroking my body, from my face to my breasts, everywhere and I heard laughter too.
"Let me go." I screamed with all my remaining sanity. But I couldn't use any strength at all. I could only look at Joe, trying to awaken his conscience. Joe put his arm around Lindsay and glanced at me coldly before looking at Zack. "You guys, be gentle, after all, she's still carrying my child.."
Zack's hands kept wandering around me restlessly. "Brother, we know our limits and we promise not to hurt your child at all." After that, Zack and Joe's two other friends picked me up and walked upstairs. I looked at Joe desperately. 'You'll regret this.'
I wish I could say it out but my voice was lost. Aside from the dizziness I only felt a strange itching heat between my legs. The last thing I saw was Lyndsey raising her wine glass to me with an evil smile on her face.
Now I could hear Zack's voice after placing me on the bed. "Lyndsey made sure she gave you the drug that arouses your lust, and also added a dose of anesthetics which will make you forget everything." I feel a grip on both of my ankles. "Even the worst pains.
When you wake up tomorrow, you will still be a lapdog next to Joe," His laughter follows and the next second, my world falls into darkness. In the dark night, I only felt something tearing me apart, almost tearing me to pieces. It was horrible and nauseating.
When I woke up again, I was lying naked not on the bed anymore but on the floor, with an enormous amount of blood pooled over my body. "Help.." I whispered and struggled to crawl to the door and knocked hard.
There was a burst of laughter outside the door. "Don't pretend you didn't like it, Lily. You were moaning like a wild bitch an hour ago. You'd better get some good sleep. By tomorrow, you won't remember a thing."
Then Joe's voice followed. "Since the business is done, and we have the evidence we want against her now..."
I couldn't wait to listen. I dragged my body towards the telephone, leaving blood stains all over the floor till I was able to call the hospital. I hadn't finished when I collapsed fully.
When I woke up again, I was already in the ward full of the smell of disinfectant and drugs. "Miss Jones, your child was not saved. What do you think we should do with its body?" The nurse looked at me sympathetically.
All I need you to do is to please call a courier for me. I need to deliver a message to my husband.”
