“Miss Wellington, if you are not feeling well, you could just go home and take a rest.” I greeted Trisha as soon as she entered our room. She smiled a little and sat on her chair.
“It’s alright, professor. I am okay, and besides, I want my baby to listen to you teach.” She smiled and caressed her stomach. “After all, I am carrying the child of your husband.”
I clench my fists and look around. I can’t help but laugh a little after hearing all of her thoughts. She has no shame, and it made me wonder how thick her face is.
“Is that supposed to be sarcasm or something?” I smiled and placed the books I was holding on the table. ”Is he happy?”
“He is so happy after I drop the news. He told me how long it has been since he wished that he could have a child,” she stood up and walked towards my table. “Prof, are you not worried? By the time this child comes out, we might be a family, and he might throw you in the dumpster. What are you going to do when that happens?”
“I’ll burn the house where you are both living.” I smiled. “After all, it’s my house. Who do you think you are to threaten me?”
I could sense the fear in her eyes, but she persevered. She didn’t even flinch.
“That’s scary..” she whispered and pouted. “But I doubt it. You are an angel, and you can’t even hurt me at my lowest, so I doubt you can burn the house where there is a child inside.”
“Yeah, that’s true.” I nodded. “That’s why I will get your child first before I burn your whole place.”
“You are not allowed to do that..” she whispered. “You are not allowed to burn the whole place down!”
“Who are you to command me? You are just a mistress of my dumb husband. I will do what I want, and someone like you should not comment on my decisions in life.” I gulped and sighed.
“I am not his mistress, he is just flirting with me! I swear to god, I didn’t fuck him! Why would I do that?!” I furrowed my brows because of the words she uttered. “I am a decent woman, and you are my awesome professor! Why would I betray you?!”
“Enough! What the hell are you saying?! Are you hearing yourself?! If you really look up to me, you will not let my husband bounce on top of you! You have a choice, Trisha!” I am trying my best to contain my anger, but the girl in front of me starts to make my blood boil. “If there is someone to blame, it would be both of you, not just him, and not just you.”
As soon as one of my students entered the classroom, I stared at Trisha and tilted my head. “You don’t want to make a mess here in the school, right? Be grateful that I am not doing something to embarrass you, because if you did those things to other people, I am pretty sure you won’t enter the school anymore.”
She smiled and nodded as she walked away. As I looked at her, I noticed that she was holding a phone.
“Did she record our conversation?”

“Mrs. Adams!” As I sprinted in the hallway, I heard a familiar voice at a distance, and I was right, it was Gino. “Can you be my tutor? It’s not your subject, though.”
“Well, then you should ask other professors,” I smiled and fixed my bangs. “What is it?”
“Can you teach me how to bake?” he smiled. “I really love the idea of baking!”
“Well, the thing is, I'm not good at baking.” I laughed. “I am sorry, I might not help you.”
“Then, shall we enter a baking class?” I was taken aback by his offer, making me scratch my forehead.
“Ah, Gino, the thing is, I already have a husband, and I don’t want to take your offer in the wrong way, but this might cause an inconvenience. I don–”
“He doesn’t trust you?” he uttered. “That’s a pity. Do you call it love when he can’t even trust you?”
I sighed and looked down.
“You see, I am a busy person, and even if the offer sounds fun, I don’t want people to misinterpret what we have, especially since you are an intelligent student of mine. I don’t want people to doubt you since we have gotten close.” I stretched my lips and tapped his back. “Maybe you could ask other professors instead.”
“But I want you..” my eyes widened when I heard what he whispered.
“You inspired me to do well in my classes, think of this as my way of giving back to you!”
