This Doucai was a birthday gift my father bought for me at Sotheby’s half a month ago. It was sold for 120 million dollars.
I watched beads of sweat form on his forehead and thought he had figured out the authenticity of the item.
"Impossible! This is definitely a replica!"
As if remembering the things I gave him, which were all very valuable, he changed his tone with an embarrassed look:
"Vivian, where did you steal it from? Or did you coax some old man into giving it to you?"
"If I remember correctly, the person who took the photo of this fight could be your father..."
I ignored his contemptuous look and said calmly:
"This is what my dad gave me."
"If you know what's good for you, just remove all that stuff from the internet and get out of here with your people! Otherwise, when my dad finds out, it won't be any use even if you kneel down and beg for mercy!"
He laughed so hard that he couldn't straighten his back:
"Vivian, do you know how funny it is to brag about yourself? If I hadn't saved you, you would have gone to work on the streets. After a few good years with me, have you forgotten where you came from? You still fantasize that you are a rich girl! Have you read too many romance novels and ruined your brain?"
"And, if I remember correctly, that man is the richest man in Capitol City who is elusive."
Now that I have said this, I don't want to hide it from him.
"Yeah, he's my dad."
Evan's expression froze.
The assistant took a breath and whispered:
"Evan, she's so arrogant, could there be some misunderstanding? And this Doucai... seems to be real."
Evan's face turned pale and he took a video of the fight and sent it to Sophie.
"Sophie, isn't your brother an employee at Sotheby's? Ask him to take a look at this Doucai and see if it's the last piece that won the auction at a sky-high price!"
"By the way, bring my specially invited top lawyer to Riverbend Villa!"
"I'm going to settle accounts with her today and make her kneel down and sing Conquer!"
Since Evan wants to be slapped in the face, I'm willing to wait.
Ten minutes later, Sophie showed up at my house with the news and her lawyer.
"Evan, my brother checked and found out that the Doucai vase was indeed bought by the richest man. He said he wanted to give it to his daughter as a vase."
"Besides, my brother said that the daughter of the richest man has a private museum with countless rare treasures."
Evan heard this and sneered, "As expected."
He turned and sneered at me:
"Are you going to say that this is the private museum of the daughter of the richest man?"
I nodded seriously.
After all, my dad has equipped every exhibit on the display stand with a security system.
Except for the doucai porcelain vase that my father gave me.
Unexpectedly, Sophie suddenly picked up the porcelain vase and pretended to look at it carefully.
I felt uneasy and rushed to grab it, but she pretended to slip.
"Snap!"
The crisp sound of shattering echoed throughout the living room.
The colorful porcelain vase worth 120 million dollars shattered into pieces in an instant, with fragments flying everywhere.
My pupils suddenly shrank and my heart seemed to be gripped by an invisible hand.
This is a birthday gift my dad bought for me at Sotheby's. It won the auction at a sky-high price. There is only one of its kind in the world.
"Sophie! Are you okay?"
Evan didn't care about the 120 million dollars porcelain, but he cared about the spider-thin bloodstains on Sophie's feet.
Sophie immediately burst into tears:
"Evan, I'm fine. I'm just mad at her for being a gold-digger. She cheated so many sponsors and now she's pretending to be the daughter of the richest man to cheat you..."
Evan kissed away the tears on her face, turned around and ordered me:
