Stealing His First Love

Having been with David for three years, I was fairly familiar with his handwriting by now.

After struggling to decipher the numbers for half an hour, I finally managed to add Linda.

As a professional sugar baby, I carefully studied her profile picture and status hundreds of times.

And to show my sincerity, I introduced myself first.

[Hello, I’m David’s sugar baby.]

On the other end, she began typing.

Was she not taking it as well as David said she would?

I knew it. What kind of first love would be willing to live peacefully with a sugar baby?

So I quickly tried to patch things up.

[You know I don’t count as a girlfriend, right?]

This time, she replied instantly with a question mark.

I was confused. Did she want me to explain in detail what I’d been doing with David all these years?

So I avoided the important parts and cut out anything that couldn’t be said out loud.

[With him, I just eat and sleep all day.]

She started typing again.

After a long while, she coldly replied, [What does that have to do with me?]

It was just as I thought. There was no such thing as a first love who truly didn’t mind!

However, when I thought about the high appeasement budget David had given me for her, I shamelessly sent another message.

[Because I want to build a good relationship with you!]

She started typing again.

From the looks of it, she was quite a conflicted person.

Then again, if she weren’t, how could she have stayed abroad for three years without even calling David once?

[Does David know about this?]

I replied instantly, [Of course, he’s even looking forward to it!]

After that, she completely ignored me.

I think I messed up.

When I went to find David to apologize, his brows were tightly furrowed, and he gave off a strong, uninviting aura.

Perhaps he found out?

Just as I was debating whether I should bring jewelry or cash as an apology, David looked up and saw me, then beckoned.

“Mia, come here.”

I obediently sat on his lap.

“Is something wrong?” I asked, even though I already knew the answer.

David didn’t speak. Instead, he buried his face in my neck and took a deep breath.

In situations like this, he was usually on the verge of anger.

I was done for.

This was clearly him waiting for me to confess on my own.

I hesitated, preparing to downplay everything as much as possible.

Then, out of the corner of my eye, I caught a name on his phone.

Scott Miller—David’s half-brother on his mother’s side, who took their mother’s surname.

He was also David’s lifelong rival.

On my first day with David, the butler, Lewis, had already warned me about one of David’s taboos: Scott.

The two of them had always competed, whether it was for grades, attention from teachers, their mother’s affection, or even the family inheritance.

Over the years, it had gone back and forth. From what I’d heard, neither of them had gained much of an advantage.

“What did he do this time? Just tell me, and I’ll roast him for you!”

Better him than me. If someone had to take the hit, it might as well be Scott.

David handed me his phone.

Scott had actually used the Miller Group’s official account to publicly call David out.

[David, using tricks like this, you really have no shame.]

I was shocked. “What did you do?”

David pulled me closer and rubbed his head against my neck.

“Nothing much. I just took half of his development rights.

“By the way, how did things go between you and her?”

David asked carefully.

It was obvious that Linda meant a lot to him.

I told the truth. “She’s ignoring me.”

David’s brows furrowed into a deep frown, clearly confused.

“She should like you. She’s always said she wanted a daughter like you.”

A daughter?

So that was her preference?

My eyes widened.

“You’re sure she said ‘daughter’?”

David nodded.

So that was the angle.

I felt enlightened.

After lingering with David in the study for a while, I slipped back to my room.

I cleared my throat several times, and after finally forcing out a soft, cutesy voice, I quickly sent her a voice message.

“Mommy…”

She replied instantly with a question mark.

Another?

Did David get it wrong? Could he have misunderstood her meaning?

So I tested the waters.

[Or you could call me mommy? I’m fine with that too.]

It turned out that Linda really was a conflicted person.

She kept typing for half an hour. Then, after a very, very long time, she replied.

[Are you serious?

[Are you doing this willingly?]

So that’s why she ignored me. She thought I was being forced by David.

As expected of his untouchable first love, she was considerate.

I immediately sent a sweet voice message.

“Of course I’m willing. I really like you.”

She replied, [It’s not impossible, but now isn’t the right time.]

What was she even talking about?

A moment later, she sent another message.

[Is there anything you really want?]

She was even planning to give me a gift.

I tilted my head and thought about it.

The words “Skyworld Luxury Estate” immediately came to mind.

It was the high-end residential project David had taken half of from Scott.

If she spoke to David for me, I could get a unit.

So I answered indirectly.

[I heard that Skyworld is a great development. If I could have a complete unit there, that would be amazing.]

She should understand what I meant.

[Okay, I understand.]

That very night, David really did give me a villa.

Sure enough, when the first love was happy, David was happy.

And when David was happy, even a little from between his fingers was enough for me to live on for several lifetimes.

So naturally, I became even more determined to win her over.

Over the next few days, David’s mood kept getting better. It was not just because Linda was happy, but also because of his rival brother.

The media reported that Scott had gone crazy.

From generously giving up the other half of the Skyworld project some time ago, to recently handing over several of Miller Group’s business deals to the Goldmans.

One outlet even reported exclusively that Scott had once posted late at night. [This woman is truly something.]

He deleted it seconds later.
