Chapter 5 of On the Day of the College Entrance Exam, I Went to the City to Watch a Concert

I spoke, "Director, I want to report how Brooklyn Tech High School is covering for each other and how the entire school is condoning…"

Bang! The car was hit violently, it crashed straight into the guardrail and smashed into the bridge pillar.

After a dizzying spin, the equipment in the car was disconnected and the livestream feed was lost. The phone got wedged in the gap beneath the seat.

"Damn it, it's a stalker fan intercepting the car!" Tommy swiftly jumped out of the window, glanced back at me and gritted his teeth as he dragged me out of the car.

A man and a woman, both wearing hats and black masks, walked straight towards me. I could recognize them even if they turned to ash, they were the class monitor and my deskmate!

Elena cried, clutching my hand, "Sherry, as your long-time friend, I can't bear to watch you go astray! Don't throw your life away for a star! Do you know the consequences of holding a celebrity hostage?"

She continued, "Anyway, come back to the town with us. Once we're back, everything can be discussed. Whatever you want, we'll comply!"

I struggled to pull away from Elena's hand and shouted, "I don't want to go back to the town! If I go back, I'll die!"

I looked at Tommy and pleaded, "If I go back to the town, I'll die! Keep driving! Take me to the province!"

Tommy hesitated and then the class monitor, Sean Preston, walked forward with a cold expression.

His dark eyes seemed to try to see through me. "You've been following me for so many years, right? If you come back with us and take the exam, I'll agree to whatever you want."

The atmosphere around us froze. Suddenly, a voice came from beneath the seat, it was the director's voice, he said, "Miss Miller, are you still there? Speak up if you have something to report!"

Tommy, as if making a decision, said, "The fairness of the national college entrance exam is more important. I'll take you to the Provincial Education Bureau first. Get in the car."

I clenched my fists and refused, "No, you can go now."

Tommy stared at me in disbelief and cursed, "Sherry, are you out of your mind? You're going to kill me just to flirt with a guy!"

"Don't ever expect me to help you again! No matter what you say, I won't believe you anymore!" With that, Tommy picked up his phone and, without looking back, walked away, he left me behind.

Elena laughed, "Sherry, what's the point of all this drama? You're just going to end up being crushed!"

Sean's gaze was icy as his fingers brushed over my sweated skin, made me instinctively shudder and step back.

He threatened, "Don't want to come back with me? Then I can't keep those things a secret anymore."
