She Lost Her Children While Believing Her First Love

Vince's POV

The day the twins were supposed to be born, my wife bought out the entire hospital’s supply of labor-suppressing medication. No matter what, she refused to give birth.

The nurses kept begging me to sign the surgery consent form. They said if the babies weren’t delivered soon, they would suffocate and die.

But I stayed silent.

Because in my past life, Luisa Carr had been diagnosed as naturally infertile. To secure an heir, she secretly kept 88 boy toys around her, rotating them through her life every day.

She’d coax me sweetly, saying that if I could just manage to get her pregnant, she’d get rid of those men immediately. Our child, she said, would be the rightful heir.

I believed her. I even crawled on my knees for three days and nights to the most spiritual fertility church I could find, begging the heavens for a child with her.

So when Luisa got pregnant with twins, I was overjoyed.

But on the day she was supposed to give birth, she refused to go into labor. I knelt on the floor, begging her through tears. I told her if she waited any longer, the babies would die.

When she finally came out of the delivery room, I was holding our newborn twins, a boy and a girl. I was crying with joy as I handed them to her.

But her expression turned cold. She took one look at them and smashed them to the ground.

As such, blood sprayed everywhere.

I screamed, but she ignored me. Instead, she ordered her bodyguards to drag me to a fresh grave and forced me to kneel and bow until my forehead was split open.

“If you hadn’t driven Albion away back then, the baby in my belly would’ve been his,” she spat. “That’s who the heir was supposed to be! I planned to claim Albion’s child before these two bastards were born to make his child my first and official heir. But you refused. You forced me to give birth.”

“And now you and those two brats have stolen everything that should’ve belonged to Albion and his son. You broke their hearts. You made them take their own lives. So now, you’re going to pay for it,” she growled.

She then beat me to death in front of Albion Chavez’s grave.

But then, I opened my eyes again, and I was back on the day she refused to give birth.

This time, I wouldn't stop her. I was ready to let her have the perfect little family she’d always wanted.

The doctors and nurses were still shouting.

“Mrs. Carr, you need to deliver now! The babies are in danger if you wait any longer!”

Luisa waved them off in annoyance and snapped, “Get those people out of here!”

Then she turned and looked at me with suspicion in her eyes. “Vince, if you dare sign that form, I swear I’ll divorce you.”

I froze for a second, then it hit me. I was really back, back in my old life.

But instead of dropping to my knees and begging like I had before, I just sat down and said calmly, “Alright. Whatever you say.”

My sudden obedience caught her off guard. She stared at me, unsure. “Don’t try reverse psychology on me. I’m not giving birth. Period.”

Right then, a bodyguard burst in. “Miss, Mr. Chavez and his son have returned to the country!”

Luisa’s face lit up right after hearing that news. She laughed with glee and declared, “Perfect! I'll officially recognize the child Albion brought back as my firstborn. He will be my heir! As for the two inside me, get them out. Now! I need to go see my Albion!”

Even after everything I’d been through in that past life, hearing her talk about our children like that, it still tore me apart.

Half an hour later, without even stopping to rest after giving birth, Luisa changed into something tight and revealing and left without a second thought.

Suddenly, a nurse came running out, screaming, “You can’t take the babies! Their heartbeats are gone! We need to get them to the NICU now!”

Panic surged through me upon hearing the commotion. I turned around toward it only to see Luisa’s bodyguards snatching the babies.

I ran after the nurse, chasing them down. But before I could reach the twins, a bodyguard punched me square in the face.

Then, everything went black.

The next thing I knew, I was being dragged off and forced to appear at a press conference.
