I Risked My Life to Save My Nephew—But My Aunt Called Me the Monster

"It's too late to pay now."

"Wait until I push your son down the stairs, then you can pay me."

I stared at my mother's increasingly pale face, begging my uncle and his family with tears in my eyes.

"Uncle, please save my mother."

"She's dying. After all, she's your sister. You can tell if I'm lying by calling an ambulance."

My uncle turned back to look at my mother only after hearing my words.

But before he could get close, my aunt called out to him.

"Don't believe him. Your sister is just pretending to be dead. She doesn't have any medical history, so how could she be in a coma?"

My uncle pulled his leg back, convinced that my aunt was right.

I was so anxious that tears welled up in my eyes.

"My father said he'd pay the compensation. Why are you stopping us from saving her?"

"Don't you know this is illegal? If anything happens to my mother, you'll..."

"Pa!"

"You beast! You're finally admitting your actions. "Did you hear that? He admitted it."

"He knew it was illegal, yet he still pushed my son down the stairs. Tell me, should he die?"

My aunt's words inflamed everyone's fury. Uninformed people even threw their belongings at me, humiliating me.

I refused to listen and knelt down, begging them to let my father go and save my mother.

Unexpectedly, they didn't even spare my father; they surrounded him, accusing and cursing him.

Seeing this, I felt so angry. I hated how my aunt's family had become so cold-blooded and heartless for money, even extorting their own family.

Is this what it means to be kind but not rewarded? I really couldn't understand it.

My aunt pulled me hard, determined to push me up the stairs, then down again.

No one tried to stop her; they all encouraged her to do this, believing it would please everyone.

Encouraged by them, even my uncle withdrew what little blood he had left and chose aloofness.

I memorized every expression on their faces. My aunt dragged me to the stairs with a sly smile.

"You threw my son down, so I'll let you experience the feeling of being thrown down too." "

Then she raised her hand and placed it behind my back, preparing to push me.

But before she could do anything, someone struck her chest hard with a stick.

"Ah! It hurts so much."

"I have proof Linda is lying."
