Taking Revenge to My Husband Who Had Affair with My Assistant

I coughed, clutching my throat. There was a time when Rusty treated me like this. He wouldn’t even touch me. Now, he was going crazy over me filing for divorce.

But it was clearly him who betrayed this marriage first.

“I’m not being unreasonable. I want a divorce, now, immediately.”

Rusty laughed. “Sadie, your legal team is mine. Tell me, do they listen to me or you?”

Hearing his words, I bit my lip. I had a falling out with my family over marrying Rusty. My parents looked down on his ordinary family. If I insisted on marrying him, I must sever ties with the Woods Family in Linkon.

I knew my parents were forcing me to give up this relationship, but back then, I was blinded by Rusty’s love.

I gave up my status as a princess in Linkon and married Rusty as an ordinary person. The Andrus Family wasn’t a big deal; Rusty built it from scratch.

When I was dating him, he was at the peak of his career. And when I told him I wanted to start a business, he gave me his legal team. The founding of my current company was also due to his contribution.

When I severed ties with the Woods Family, I lost my financial support. So, in Rusty’s eyes, I was just an ordinary person who depended on him for a living.

I scoffed and didn’t say anything.

Rusty smiled with determination. “What about the child? With your financial resources, I’ll kick you out after the divorce. You won’t have such a good life.”

Beside me, Harper’s eyes were filled with excitement. “Sadie, don’t do anything stupid! So many people are hoping to give the child to Rusty.”

Seeing her expression like this, I was filled with anger and slapped her. “It’s just right to get a divorce. I’ll make room for you.”

Harper fell to the ground after being slapped by me. Her face turned pale and she cried to Rusty in grievance.

“Rusty, I didn’t say anything. I was just trying to persuade her. Why did Sadie hit me like this?”

Rusty slapped me across the face with his backhand. He raged, “Sadie! You’re becoming more and more lawless!”

Then he pulled Harper into his arms. “I do have a child with Harper. I knew her before I knew you. She’s not your servant. You can’t just hit her whenever you want.”

My heart ached. But Rusty’s expression was icy.

“Sadie, ask yourself, I’ve treated you well over the past two years of our marriage. I’ve supported your career. If it weren’t for me, would you be where you are today? How many men in this industry don’t have two wives? Harper gave me a child, but I didn’t give her a legitimate status out of consideration for your dignity. I even let her work for you. Wasn’t I good enough to you? Sadie, you’re too petty.”

Listening to Rusty’s words, I felt like I couldn’t breathe.

At our wedding, he promised us a lifetime together, only for me and that if I ever failed him, I would be struck by lightning.

But now, he was accusing me of being petty for another woman.

Rusty sneered, “You want a divorce? Fine, I’ll see where you can find a lawyer who can defeat the Andrus Law Firm without the legal team I’ve provided you.”

He picked up Harper and turned to leave.

Rusty issued an order; no lawyer in all of Oreland dared to take my case.

I flipped to the bottom of my address book and played the international call. “I regret it. If you can help me get a divorce, I’ll do anything.”

“Including marrying me?”

“Yes.”
