Reborn After Being Betrayed by My Lover and Her

I deliberately blocked the bank’s debt collection calls. Even after my bank card was frozen and I was labeled a defaulter, I remained calm, but the intern panicked.

In my past life, during the Summer Sizzle Sale, she had used my personal information to take out a loan. She led the entire company on a reckless shopping spree.

The debt of tens of millions was dumped on me. When I went to confront her and demand repayment, she clung to my boyfriend’s arm, looking pitiful.

“Sister Alexandra, even if I had the money, how could you accuse me like this?”

My boyfriend exploded, his voice full of disgust. “Alexandra, you're so obsessed with vanity that you took out loans for luxury goods, and now you’re trying to frame Louise to make her pay for your mess? How can you be so vicious?”

In the heat of that argument, I was pushed down the stairs. I died from the fall.

Every one of them, my boyfriend and my coworkers, testified that I had tripped on my own.

But when I opened my eyes again, I was back on the very day the intern invited the company on that fateful shopping spree.

——

“Tomorrow’s Summer Sizzle Sale! To thank everyone for taking care of me, I’ve already applied for leave from Brother Frederick. I will take everyone to the mall to shop to their heart’s content. It’s all on me!”

The moment I heard Louise’s familiar voice, I glanced at the clock on the wall, and realization struck like lightning. I had been reborn.

The very next second, Louise Hanover suddenly grabbed my hand. “Sister Alexandra, the mall’s offering a 10% discount for new cardholders. Can I borrow your ID?”

My body trembled violently. The memory of falling down the stairs, the pain of death, flooded back in an instant.

It was today. On this very day in my past life, Louise invited the entire office to the mall. She borrowed my ID, pretending it was just for a membership discount.

I didn’t realize the truth until the debt collectors came knocking: the one million dollars she had spent was a loan taken out under my name.

When I confronted her and demanded she repay the debt, she wore the same pitiful look and clung to Frederick Romanov’s arm.

“Sister Alexandra, even if I had the money, how could you accuse me like this?”

Frederick’s scolding was even harsher. “Alexandra, you’re so obsessed with vanity that you took out loans to buy luxury goods, and now you want to pin it on Louise? How could you be so cruel?”

In the heated argument with Louise, I had been pushed down the stairs and died.

Frederick and the entire company lied for her, claiming I’d fallen on my own.

As the pain of my past life flashed back, I clenched my teeth in hatred.

Before I could react, Frederick suddenly snatched my bag, pulled out my ID card, and handed it straight to Louise.

I snapped back to my senses and yanked it from her hands.

“Frederick, who gave you the right to take my ID?”

His brows furrowed in apparent irritation. “Alexandra, what’s wrong with you now? Louise just needs it to register for a membership card. Stop holding everyone up.”

Louise smiled sweetly, slipping her hand into mine. “Sister Alexandra, the reward points from everyone’s purchases will go straight to your card. You can use them to exchange for daily goods later.”

Frederick patted Louise’s shoulder. His gaze was soft and affectionate. “Louise, you’re so kind, always thinking of others.”

Then he turned to me, irritation flashing in his eyes.

“Alexandra, if only you could be half as obedient and considerate as Louise. She’s always thinking of you, and all you do is break her heart. Hand over your ID, and while you're at it, apologize.”

I let out a low laugh, the anger bubbling up. “No need. The two of you can go be thoughtful elsewhere. I’m not cut out for this kind of kindness.”
