Next day after being discharged from the hospital, I made my way home only to find a huge party was organized by Xavier celebrating Veronica's's return. His friends snickered when they saw me coming in with a pale face and unsightly clothes, bandages wrapped around my broken arms.
"God, why is she so shameless? Xavier loves Veronica but like a leech this woman cannot wait to sabotage their relationship."
"She is an infertile witch and wants to curse Veronica with her presence too. Poor Veronica treats this woman like her best friend."
"No wonder Xavier said that she is Veronica's substitute...she can never be the real one. Look at the terrible scars littering her arms." Xavier stood at a side with his arms wrapped around Veronica's waist. His face turned into a scowl when he witnessed me standing in a corner.
"Olivia! Are you alright? I-I didn't know that you were coming today. Please don't misunderstand...actually Xavier arranged this party for you b-but I interrupted-"
"No! this party was for you Veronica. Now that Olivia is already here she can cook your favorite dish too."
A voice cut through the atmosphere like lightning making me look coldly at my husband with unshed tears in my eyes.
"You can do it, can't you Olivia? Be quick and do not disappoint me this time or I will not be so kind as to forgive you." I turned around sharply, going away from the revulsing scene only for Veronica to follow me.
"Xavier I am worried about Olivia, please let me talk to her."
"But-"
"Please" She begged with a pout on her lips and making Xavier smile as he nodded.
Inside the kitchen I was startled to see her standing behind me with a mocking smile on her face.
“You were there when Xavier talked about his plan to make you sterile and operate on you right? I am sure that you must have also heard that Xavier made me pregnant.” There was not even an ounce of sympathy in her gaze. Instead, she looked at me with a triumphant smile.
“What the hell do you want?” I whispered, my tears ceasing to fall freely. Since Xavier was not here she did not pretend to be kind anymore.
“Poor Olivia, do you even have any idea where your husband was when you were suffering and crying to be saved, waking in the middle of the terrible operation? Xavier was busy taking off my clothes and indulging in dirty sexual pleasure with me right next door.
He was annoyed by your constant crying and screaming so much so that he asked the doctors to stuff your mouth tightly.”
I clenched my fists, my entire body quivering as I looked at her in horror, making her smirk in satisfaction.
“You ruined the mood entirely and Xavier could not help but take me out to your honeymoon suite where we spent a wild night. Xavier has always told me that you are too much of a prude and he could never be satisfied with your fragile body.”
I bit my lip hard to suppress the pain, the feeling of betrayal seeping deep into my consciousness.
"We have been inseparable since childhood Veronica then why?! You were my best friend!” Seeing my outburst Veronica threw her head back laughing heartily before adding smugly.
"You have always been the perfect princess of the Silver Moon Pack and I just your follower! It is time that I reverse the order of things!
Do you remember that you were heavily drugged seven years ago in college? Did you think it was Xavier with whom you had a one-night stand with? That he was your savior?

“NO!…”My heart fell into the pit of my stomach with shock and I saw Veronica smiling cruelly in satisfaction.
"Today, I will make it your last day in this house!" Picking up a sharp knife from nearby she raised it high in air, before stabbing her left shoulder with her eyes shining eccentrically.
She threw the bloody knife towards me before falling on the ground with a thud, a painful howl escaping past her lips and before I could understand what was happening a raged masculine growl vibrated across the surroundings making me freeze.
“Veronica!” Xavier rushed at his mistress’s side hurriedly, his bloodshot eyes glaring at me like he wished to bury me alive.
“Olivia, your are my best friend… I-I will never forget my place from now on, p-please forgive me this once.
In return…I will do anything to repay you. You once locked me in a room with multiple men saying that you will punish me for seducing Xavier b-but I-I never wanted to snatch your husband- ah!" She screamed crying gutwrenchingly.
“No! She is lying! I didn’t-”
"You disgusting woman! How dare you hurt Veronica!"A loud growl echoed and Xavier's sharp punch landed on my stomach. Soon blood pooled beneath my dress, my body shivered hard when I looked at my husband of six years in horror as a scream escaped past my lips.
"My baby!"
Horrified eyes looked at me from all direction as murmurs filled the hall.
