Our Love Buried in Early Winter

Tessa reached out to take it, but deliberately retracted her hand just as she was about to touch it.

The star-shaped diamond necklace fell heavily on the marble floor and broke into two halves.

The whole room fell silent.

Wilhelmina saw the fragments on the floor and suddenly laughed.

It was a token of trust Sophie had put on her herself, symbolizing the Pieterson Family's recognition of her.

Now, it was completely shattered, just like her efforts over the past three years.

She stared at Leon and said in almost inaudible voice, "Leon, we are even now."

Just then, she turned and left. Her skirt swept across the diamond necklace fragments without a trace.

He stood there and for no reason, felt a sharp pain in his chest.

He should had been happy.

He finally got rid of the girl he didn't love and went to the bed with Tessa as he wished.

But why, watching her leaving, felt like a piece of his heart was being cut out?

Tessa pulled her sleeve and cried. "Leon, she deliberately broke the diamond necklace ...."

Leon immediately shook off her hand and bent down to pick up the two halves of the diamond necklace.

When Wilhelmina returned to the room, it was already dark.

Her fingertips gently stroked the medicine box, she took a deep breath and began to pack her luggage.

It was time to go.

Just then, her mobile phone rang and vibrated at the same time.

The word "Mr. Reigner" appeared on the screen. Her teacher or lecturer finally got out of his busy schedule, doing a research project.

"Wilhelm."

On the other end of the phone, her teacher's voice was calm and gentle.

"Midnight, at the airport outside the city."

"Although the Blood Marrow Ganoderma is destroyed, Ms. Pieterson's leg disease can be healed by the 'Seventh Amethyst Restoration Needle'. You need to take three drops of your own heart blood as a guide."

Wilhelmina was silent for a moment, then nodded slowly and said, "Okay."

Soon, she finished the last acupuncture treatment for Sophie.

The moment the silver needle entered the acupoint, her fingertips trembled slightly and beads of sweat appeared on her forehead.

The blood in the heart was the trigger and the pain went into the bone marrow.

Sophie noticed her something unusual about her and tears welled up in her eyes. "Girl, why are you paler than me?"

Wilhelmina shook her head. "Grandma, you'll walk normally after this. I'm leaving grandma, you should take good care of yourself in the future."

Sophie suddenly burst into tears.

"Wilhelm, no matter where you go in the future, as long as you need help, you can come to me, okay?" Wilhelmina just leaned forward and apologized, resting her forehead on the grandmother's knees. "Take care."

The suitcase rolled over the bluestone slabs of the Pieterson Family's house and Wilhelmina didn't even look back.

She had nothing around her neck, the jade pendant was broken and the engagement was broken.

As the taxi headed toward the outskirts of the city, heavy rain began to pour.

In the rearview mirror, the carved gate of the Pieterson Family's house was getting farther and farther away. She reached for her mobile phone and dragged the words "Leon Pieterson" onto the blacklist.

A private plane parked at the airport. When the white-haired old man opened the cabin door, Wilhelmina finally collapsed due to exhaustion.

"Three drops of my heart's blood, you're really ...." The teacher caught her limp body and sighed. "Still as stubborn as you were back then."

In another place.

Leon was absent-minded at the dinner and Wilhelmina's look before leaving made him particularly uneasy.

"I'll go back first."

He suddenly stood up, leaving behind the guests and the stunned Tessa and strode towards the parking lot.

Before the driver could react, he had already opened the door and sat in the driver's seat, stepped on the accelerator to the bottom and the black Maybach rushed out like an arrow from a bow.

As soon as he arrived and opened the door, the sensor lights in the foyer were on, illuminating the empty living room.

"Wilhelmina?"

No one responded.

He loosened his tie and scanned around irritably.

He hurried upstairs, pushed open the guest room door and the bed was neat and clean, with no signs of having been slept in.

He turned and stepped towards his grandmother's room. But the butler stopped him in the corridor and notified. "Mr. Leon, your grandma has already fallen asleep."

"Hey Leon~"

Tessa followed him back not long after, hugged him from behind and said in a sweet voice. "Wilhelmina must be with your grandma, you know how much she loves to run to her room."

She stroked his chest with her fingertips, raised her head and said coquettishly, "Please, don't think about her, I'll accompany you tonight ...." The man supported her while thinking. Wilhelmina often stayed overnight at his grandmother's room, especially on the days of acupuncture treatment.

Let's go buy some pastries or desserts she liked and apologized.

Anyway ... she has been pestering you for three years, so she won't really leave.

Leon stood outside his grandmother's room, holding Wilhelmina's favorite pastries and desserts and the set of second edition books of "Compendium of Materia Medica" that she had been coveting for a long time.

He thought about it the whole last night. Wilhelmina had always been caring and soft-hearted. As long as he opened his mouth, she would definitely forgive him.

The door of the quiet room opened and Sophie came out holding on a natural brown wooden crutch, her gaze as cold as ice.

"Leon, you're late."

Leon frowned as he didn't see Wilhelmina with her. "Grandma, where is Wilhelmina? I brought her a gift ...."

The grandmother sneered and slammed the wooden crutch on the floor, responding, "She's left."
