No More Love, No More Hate

The moment Luna hung up the phone, her husband’s driver pulled up in front of her. “Ma’am, Mr. Elwood asked me to take you to a restaurant. He prepared a surprise for you.”

She hesitated for a while. She didn’t want to go, but before she could refuse, two tall bodyguards stepped forward and forced her into the car.

When they arrived at the restaurant, she was pushed into a dark private room. It was completely empty and the large mirror on the wall reflected her pale face.

She quickly turned around, looking for the two bodyguards who brought her, but they were already gone. The door was locked from the outside.

Her heartbeat grew faster and faster as memories of her kidnapping came rushing back.

Back then, she had been locked in a small, windowless room and tortured endlessly for days. She had only survived by whispering her mother’s and Morgan’s names over and over in her mind.

But when she was finally rescued, she found out that her mother had died from shock and grief after hearing about her kidnapping. Since then, she had suffered from depression. At her worst, she had even hurt herself. Even now, she still couldn’t stand being alone in the dark.

Luna gasped for air and ran toward the door, shouting for help as loudly as she could.

She screamed until her voice cracked, but no one came to save her.

The faces of the kidnappers began flashing before her eyes again and everything seemed so dark inside. She screamed and fought wildly just like back then, until a sharp slap hit her face.

When she finally came back to her senses, she was holding a wine bottle, about to throw it at Violet’s head. A crowd had gathered, watching in shock.

The one who slapped her was Morgan.

Seeing her dazed expression, he bit his lip with guilt flashing in his eyes. “I’m sorry, Luna. You were having another episode. I just wanted to calm you down.”

Luna stared at his raised hand in silence, her heart aching.

He had seen her episodes before. In the past, he would hold her tightly and comfort her gently. But now, he used violence instead.

Then, she saw Violet’s proud smile and everything became clear. He must have hit her because she had almost hurt Violet.

How ridiculous.

Years ago, when Morgan found out that Violet was behind her kidnapping, he had been furious. He had used all his power to destroy the Sanford Family, just to force her father to hand Violet over.

He had locked Violet away on a private island, swearing that he would make her suffer the same pain she had caused Luna.

But now, when Luna couldn’t see, her husband and half-sister even had a child together.

So, this was your idea of revenge, Morgan Elwood? Making your enemy bear your child?

Maybe it was the sadness in her eyes that made him hesitate, because he tried to step closer to her. But by then, the people around them were already whispering and pointing.

“So, that’s Morgan Elwood’s wife? She’s crazy. Guess his taste isn’t that great after all.”

“Yeah, I heard she was kidnapped once and when they found her, she was barely dressed. Who knows if she’s still clean? Poor Mr. Elwood for marrying such a woman.”

“Tsk, tsk. If I were her, I would be too ashamed to even show my face. Why is she still running around? She almost attacked someone just now. If it weren’t for Morgan, I would have asked the staff to throw her out.”

“Exactly. Being around someone like her lowers our class.”

Hearing this, Morgan shouted furiously, “Shut up! All of you, get out!”

The crowd went silent for a moment, then quickly left after giving Luna a disgusted look.

Luna knew Violet brought those people here on purpose. The truth about her kidnapping had been kept secret between the two families. If people suddenly knew about it now, it could only mean that someone leaked it on purpose.

But Morgan didn’t notice that. He only saw the chaos and thought Luna had embarrassed him.

He frowned and asked coldly, “Luna, were you following me? Do you really trust me that little?”

Violet stepped in with a soft smile and took Luna’s hand. “Yeah, Luna, I just ran into Morgan by chance. He’s meeting a client here and that client happens to be my old classmate.”

“It’s such a shame you never got to finish college after what happened back then. Now you don’t even have the connections to help him.”

As she spoke, she dug her nails hard into Luna’s arm.

Luna flinched and pulled her hand away, making Violet stumble and let out a cry before collapsing into Morgan’s arms, whimpering in a pitiful voice. “Morgan…”

Morgan pushed her aside angrily, his face filled with disgust, “What the hell are you doing? Don’t come near me or Luna again unless it’s important. Get out!”

Violet gave Luna a hateful glare before turning to leave.

Morgan then turned back to his wife and said softly, “Luna, this isn’t the right place for you. Behave and go home, okay?”

She could hear the impatience hidden in his voice. Still, she just nodded quietly and walked out alone.

Not long after she left, Violet returned to the private room once again.
