I raised my chin to look up at Noah, stunned. Never in my life, had my parents or elders raised their voice against me yet Noah had the audacity of slapping me.
I watched him with a pair of red eyes, my knuckles tightening in rage.
"How dare you insult Emily like that?" He began, "She is born in a humble family. But, that doesn't give you authority of humiliating her. She is bigger than you by heart."
I rubbed my reddened chin, still itching where Noah had just hit me. I struggled to stand up on my feet. Dylan and Denver rushed to my side and supported me to get up.
"Isadora, are you alright?"
"Are you able to walk? Should we get a ride for you?"
They asked, a failed attempt to show how concern they were for me. Meanwhile, Noah walked forward to the Mountain's guard and snowed him a batch as he commanded,
"I command you to let me and my friend, Emily enter the Ryker Mountain with the one-time Alpha Pass!"
I stared Noah in desdain. The batch he was showing was a treasure to any member of the pack that gives them right to go against any Alpha. But, it can used only one time.
I had begged my mother for two weeks to give Noah that batch on his birthday. Never in my life I had expected that he will waste such a precious batch on such a small occasion.
But, guess Emily was everything that mattered to him, just like he once mattered to me.
The Mountain's guard let them enter. I swallowed my anger back. My grandmother's healtg mattered me the most and it was the right time for the White Tulip to bloom.
If I missed to pluck it now, I would never get it again. So, I ignored everything else and moved forward.
My ankles were broken because of the fall and I could not walk properly. Emily watched me struggling and smiled as she turned to Noah and said,
"Beta Noah, my legs are hurting. I can't walk anymore. Let's rest here."
Noah smiled at her, a very rare sight to watch as he said softly. "Let me carry you then."
Having said that, he immediately picked her up in his arms and walked stern, staring deeply into her eyes.
Dylan and Denver walked by my side. Watching me staring at Emily and Noah with a pair of cold eyes, they immediately suggested, "Isadora, you are hurt. Let us carry you."
"I don't need any of you. I can walk by myself." I said coldly before I enhanced my speed, fed up of their pretence.
But, they rushed themselves and caught up with me.They didn't stop pointing at every flowers they watched and asked, "Isadora, do you like that flower? Should we pluck it for you?"
I kept on rejecting them whereas Emily's hands were filled with a bouquet of so many flowers, each one precious and a treasure of our pack.
As we reached the peak of the mountain, my gaze fell on a tall plant with silver leaves. It had a flower blooming at the top. The whole plant had only one flower and that was what I wanted.
A White Tulip!
"I want that!" A whisper escaped through my lips, and before I could walk forward, Dylan and Denver had already reached to the plant.
"Let us pluck it for you, Isadora!" Dylan said.
"Yes, it will be a gift from us to make up to you." Denver added.
However, they were blocked by Noah. He stood before them. Staring deep into my eyes, he said, his voice cold, "You can take any other flower you want. Emily likes this flower the most."
The twins were taken aback, staring at each other in confusion. They had just promised to give the flower to me but their beloved also want the same flower, despite being occupied with so many flowers already.
"B-But, Princess Isadora wants the flower as well."
"And we arrived here first!"
They had added, but the tone lacking the confidence that needed in the argument.
"How about we race? Whoever wins will get the flower?" Noah suggested.
"Yes, that's a good idea!" Dylan exclaimed, "Let's do arm wrestling! It's a fair plot."
One by one, Noah defeated both Dylan and Denver in arm wrestling. Funny thing was Noah's right hand was injured in the last battle and Dylan was a champion in arm wrestling yet they both got defeated by an injured Noah.
They thought I couldn't see their foolish act. Even a blind could see how easily they had given up.
I laughed in irony, said nothing. I was tired of confronting them. I just watched as Noah plucked the flower, walked past me and handed it in Emily's hands, saying affectionately, "For my beloved!"
"Oh, Beta Noah!" She blushed, like a petal of fresh flower before she threw herself on him. Hugging him tightly she added, "You are the best! I'm so lucky to have you by my side."
I didn't waste a second and walked up to them. Just as they broke their hug, I said, "Name your price!"
"What?" She was stunned.
"What do you want?" I asked, "I as an Alpha blood and the crowned Princess of the whole Kingdom gives you my word that I'll fulfill all your demands... Just give that flower to me."
