Rachel's phone suddenly rang, it was a call from Lucas' mother.
She picked it up. Rebecca, Lucas' mother yelled over the phone.
“Where are you Rachel? Didn’t Lucas tell you I was coming home today? Hurry over and come home, I’m starving.
Rachel hissed and hung up the phone.
The Thompsons witch was finally back. Rachel has been at peace for one year now following her departure.
She was the only problem Rachel faced years ago and was glad when she left Canada. Her coming back was just to torment her. But at least she was about to leave the marriage.
“Why can’t you be useful at least" Rebcca lashed out immediately Rachel stepped into the house.
" For goodness sake Rachel you are of no use to the Thompsons.” She barked and glared at her.
Rachel was stunned at her outburst. Mrs. Rebecca had reacted like someone had told her something.
Rachel knew she didn’t like her. But the outburst was too fast.
Rachel ignored her and turned to head upstairs when the woman suddenly bursted into tears, slumping on the couch behind her.
“Mum!" Lucas' voice rang out.
Rachel turned to see Lucas coming out of the kitchen.
He held a plate of Mayoonse sauce. The plate fell off his hands at the sight of his mum in tears.
“What happened, Rachel?" Lucas asked.
Rachel's hand suspended awkwardly in the air as she shook her head vigorously.
" I have no idea, " she suddenly started crying. I don't know why.” Rachel explained.
“Don’t you get it Lucas? Rachel pushed her onto the chair while trying to brush past her to her room.” Fiona voiced out.
They all turned towards the direction of the voice and Fiona stood at the staircase.
“I saw her, Lucas. I was standing right here when she did all of that.” Fiona sighed, climbing down the stairs.
Rachel stood stunned at the spot.
She glanced her head and Mrs. Rebecca was nodding her head.
“She is right son, you have to end whatever it is you have with Rachel. She isn’t worthy to be a wife. She is just a barren witch. Unlike Fiona here. Lucas mother sneered
She hated Rachel from the start. ‘Girls from a low-class family aren't worthy of her son.’ she always said.
She loved Fiona to the core. Fiona's father owned a billion dollar company at Zetel city here in Canada. Being an only child, she was treated with so much care in the world.
She claimed she had left Canada at the eve of her engagement with Neo because her best friend fell sick and needed an urgent kidney transplant that needed her presence.
When asked why she didn’t inform Lucas, she said she believed he wouldn’t agree to it therefore she left on her own will.
“Don’t call Rachel barren, mum. Its totally out if it."
Lucas hurried over to where Rachel stood and glared at her.
“Why did you do that Rachel? She is my mum for God’s sake and the matriarch of the Thompson's family.” He cursed.
“I didn’t do anything Lucas! I didn’t!.” Rachel screamed.
She was pissed and suffocated by the whole Thompsons family drama. She knew her stay here was almost coming to an end.
“Dont you dare yell at me!" Lucas clenched his fist in anger.
Rachel looked at Fiona and her lips were twisted in a mickey grin. She was clearly enjoying the brokenness in Rachel's eyes.
“Come here Fiona" Mrs. Rebecca signalled and she came to stand next to her.
“This is the only woman I know Lucas has." She explained and stroked Fiona's arms smiling warmly.
Lucas bit his lower lips in frustration. He knew his heart wasn't with Rachel anymore. But how could he possibly let go of the woman that once saved his life.
“Why did you even leave the house Rachel? Fiona and I had to leave the office to rush back home to cook for her. For what? Lucas' voice shook the room. He was burning in rage.
“And what about the help?" Rachel quipped.
“Oh wow, help?" Lucas laughed, nodding.
" Like you didn’t know she has been on sick leave."
Rachel's mouth fell open in an ‘oo’ shaped manner. She figured out she forgot things too easily these days and it wasn’t helping. She will have to visit the hospital once she gets to Solana city.
“I forgot that though." Rachel mouthed.
But even at that. Mrs Rebecca isn’t fully aged. She has a home where she resides with her husband in Villa Island.
Their sophisticated mansion was filled with help and servants of different kinds.
She was here because of Rachel and Rachel knew it.
“Besides, I advise you to get a new help" Rachel finalised and dashed up stairs. She was tired of the drama.
Her phone bepped as she pushed her room door open.
[Rachel Everton, Flight rescheduled for tomorrow. The vacant position needs to be filled urgently. The company is welcoming its owner to the grand charity gala.

Rachel's heart skipped for a second. Her flight to Solana has been rescheduled to tomorrow. Which means her marriage with Lucas ends today.
She smiled triumphantly. She clearly registered her name with “Everton" , her fathers last name.
She laughed and held her phone. Suddenly, an unfamiliar number sent her a message that crushed her ounce of happiness.

Her words stumbled before her. She was feeling nauseous the other day and Aria suggested she did the test.
Ever since she found out Lucas cheated on her she has always erased the name Thompson in every of her names.
Aria took her to a special hospital where she got tested and the result forwarded to her just now.
She stood still. Shock shot her entire body as though she was struck by lightning.
She made up her mind immediately. She will leave tomorrow after dropping the divorce papers with Lucas and the baby is kept a secret from everyone including Aria.
But she wondered to herself. The pills were meant to ruin her womb as Fiona said or were they lies?.
