My Boyfriend is a Love Struck Fool

My boyfriend, David Davis, was a hopeless romantic.

He thought about being intimate with me every day.

One of David's friends, Jessica Williams, made ambiguous comments about us, saying we were too clingy.

David looked at her with a dangerous expression and said, "If I don't cling to my girlfriend, then who should I cling to? Could it be that you're interested in my girlfriend?"

David organized a gathering with his group of brothers tonight and wanted to introduce me to them formally.

But it happened that my best friend, Emily Brown, came all the way to my home.

I didn't feel comfortable leaving Emily alone at home, so I brought her along with us.

When we arrived at the restaurant, David's friends were already there.

As soon as we sat down, David couldn't wait to introduce me to his friends. "This is my girlfriend, Emma White. Isn't she beautiful?"

David sounded proud. He was unable to conceal his satisfaction and pride. It was like he was showing off his cherished treasure.

"Yes, she's so beautiful. You are so lucky to have her," David's friends all echoed.

However, a sudden voice broke the friendly atmosphere. A girl said, "Isn't today supposed to be a brothers' gathering? David, why did you bring your girlfriend here? And you brought two girls at once. Why did you only introduce Emma? What about the other? You ignored her. It seems like a love triangle can be very unfair for one of the people involved."

I looked in the direction of the voice.

I recognized that girl. Her name was Jessica Williams.

Jessica got along very well with David's friends. She was sharp and critical towards other girls. But she would show unlimited tenderness towards boys.

Things Jessica had done include, but were not limited to, subtly and overtly mocking me and being pampered.

Not only that, Jessica often sent messages to interrupt me and David when we were dating. She asked David to go out with her.

While David was pursuing his postgraduate studies, we spent little time together. So, he highly valued the time we had when we were together.

After being disturbed by Jessica so many times during dates, David finally blocked her on Twitter.

Jessica found David's friend and added David back.

After this, Jessica temporarily behaved herself when I was dating David.

I didn't expect that Jessica would come this time.

Faced with Jessica's cunning behavior, Emily spoke before I could say anything, "Then may I ask how many boyfriends you have? Are all the men here your boyfriends?"

After hearing what Emily said, all the men present moved away.

They shook their heads. "No. I'm not her boyfriend."

Jessica turned angrier.

Jessica looked at David sarcastically. "David, your girlfriend's best friend is really sharp-tongued. Birds of a feather flock together, huh? I wonder if your girlfriend argues with you like this often? Dealing with a girlfriend is definitely not as relaxing as hanging out with the guys."

Seeing Jessica still targeting me, Emily wanted to have a big quarrel with her regardless of the situation.

After all, Emily had been irritated by Jessica's provocative behavior for a long time.

I quickly stopped her and told her to relax.

I thought, "After all, David is a love-brained person. He would think that Jessica is trying to sow discord between us. He will not allow her provocation."

As expected, David immediately said gently, "It was so hard for me to pursue Emma. How could I bear to quarrel with her? On the contrary, since we arrived, you've been gossiping non-stop. Are you a busybody?"

Even though I knew David could be quite sharp-tongued towards others, I never expected him to be so direct to Jessica.
