LOVING THE ENEMY ALPHA

Aria Blackwood grew up as the Alpha's daughter. Everyone expected her to lead. She was taught to stand tall, never bow.

Then came her eighteenth birthday. In front of the whole pack, her mate rejected her.

Rafe Daniels didn't just break her heart-he shattered the bond and turned it into a battlefield.

Five years later, Silver Crest has fallen. Aria's father is gone. Her pack has surrendered. And Aria? He keeps her alive for one thing: to serve in the house of the man who wrecked her world.

Rafe calls it mercy, this humiliation. He thinks she's beaten.

Let him think it.

She drops her gaze, but she catches every whisper. She carries out orders, but she's always plotting. And that mate bond-they both feel it burning, whether they want it or not. Aria just turns that fire into something sharper.

Revenge.

She was never supposed to kneel. She was born to rule. And she's going to take her throne back-even if she has to destroy the man fate chose for her.

Rafe's jaw clenched, and for a heartbeat, Aria caught something flicker in his eyes-doubt, maybe, just for a moment. It was gone so fast, she almost laughed.

"Remember this," she whispered, her voice sharp as broken glass. "You'll regret trying to humiliate me. Tonight, tomorrow, whenever-if you ever see me again, you'll wish you hadn't."

Rafe's mouth curved, almost like he found her funny. "Regret's a strong word."

"I didn't say maybe," Aria shot back, her stare heavy and unyielding. "I said you will. And when the bond rips out what you're too afraid to give, don't come looking for sympathy."

Kestra howled in her chest, riding the tension like a wolf on a hunt. Yes. Let him feel it.

Rafe went rigid, every muscle drawn tight, fury radiating off him in waves. "You're playing with fire, Aria Blackwood," he ground out, his teeth flashing. "You have no idea what happens when you push someone like me."

She just shrugged, cool as ice. "I don't have to imagine. I survived it already. Now you get to see how it feels."

The air between them sizzled, tight and electric. Every wolf in the room felt it-the mate bond, two Alpha wills locked in a fight neither would lose.

Then Rafe's hand slammed down on the table beside her, rattling the glasses. The whole room jumped. He didn't touch her, not yet, but the threat was clear as a knife.

"You think words scare me?" His voice dropped, low and dangerous. "You think your insults mean anything when your bond is mine?"

Aria barely blinked. She leaned in, voice steady and cold. "The bond's not yours. Not until I say so. And I don't break. Not now. Not ever."

His hand fell away. For a moment, the whole world seemed to freeze. His stormy eyes locked onto hers-fire and ice, perfectly matched.

He spoke slow, like the words cost him. "You're not just another future Alpha, are you?"

Aria held his gaze. "I'm exactly who I've always been. And next time you try to shame me, remember that."

A gasp rippled through the crowd. Wolves shifted, restless and uneasy. The room felt ready to explode.

"You think this is over?" Rafe asked, so close she could feel his breath. "You know what happens when the Red Moon doesn't get what it wants?"

She drew herself up, eyes flashing. "I don't care. Life's thrown worse at me, and I'm still standing. I'll survive you, too. Take your best shot."

His lips twitched again, but this time there was calculation there, not amusement. "We'll see, Aria. We'll see."

Suddenly, he straightened and tipped his head toward the back doors. His voice cracked through the silence.

"Red Moon! Move!"

The pack froze. Shouts rang out. Wolves started to shift, the ground humming with their power as the Red Moon pack surged forward.

Aria's breath caught. Her claws flexed, itching for a fight. The mate bond screamed in her head, pulling her forward and holding her back all at once. Kestra howled so loud, Aria felt it in her bones. This wasn't over. Not even close.

Rafe's eyes found hers one last time before he disappeared into the crowd, his words cutting through the chaos.

"You'll regret this, Aria Blackwood. Remember that."

Aria stood her ground. No tears. No flinching. She just lifted her chin, letting her presence blaze into the room-steel and fire, unbreakable.

Let them come, she thought. Let everyone watch what happens when they cross me.

Red Moon had arrived. Silver Crest wasn't going down without a fight. And Aria Blackwood, Damon's daughter and heir to Silver Crest, would not break. Not now. Not ever.

Her emerald eyes met Rafe's again across the chaos. The mate bond snapped and shimmered between them like lightning, and somewhere deep inside, Kestra laughed in triumph.

This was just the start.
