Love That Is Out Of Sync With Time

After I came out of the hospital, I still had a diagnosis in my hand, which showed that I was in the middle stage of cancer, but I didn’t feel the pain of dying soon.

There was no one in this world who cared about or loved me anymore.

I slowly returned to where I lived, which was a chaotic and dirty gathering place for the poor, in a dilapidated state.

As soon as I arrived at the door, I found that all my luggage was thrown outside the door. I hurried over to search inside and finally pulled out the broken bracelet from it.

This was the only thing my mother left me.

I cried loudly while holding the bracelet and the landlord came over, kicked me a few times and told me to get out quickly.

Suddenly, there was a pain on my face and I looked up and saw Diana, her face full of ridicule and disgust.

“This is the price you pay for coming back to seduce Neil! If you dare to show up in front of him again, I will kill you!”

I stood up slowly, with pain and disbelief in my eyes, even though we used to be such good friends.

I was about to question her, but she grabbed my hands and she fell to the ground. I was thrown to the ground before I could react.

Neil hurriedly picked up Diana and his eyes turned red when he saw her groaning in pain.

“Claire, how can you be as vicious as your parents!”

My heart trembled. He hadn’t called my name for a long time. At that moment, my tears almost flowed out.

I didn’t know how to explain to him that his parents’ death had nothing to do with my parents and I knew he wouldn’t listen.

Why didn’t he think about why Diana appeared here and meet me?

I just watched how Neil hurriedly called an ambulance and how he gently comforted Diana.

I peeped at the happiness I once had like a mouse.

Neil took me with him when he went to the hospital. “If Diana gets into trouble today, I’ll make you pay for it!”

While waiting anxiously, a nurse saw me. “Madam, are you going to get your disease treated? I said you are so young, how can you give up on yourself?”

When she spoke, I remembered that I had seen her this morning.

Neil frowned. “What disease?”

I didn’t want him to know, so I hinted to the nurse to leave, but Neil held her and insisted on an answer.

Seeing my embarrassment, the nurse shook Neil off. “You are allergic to alcohol. You almost lost your life. You are her boyfriend, so why you ask?”

I breathed a sigh of relief and suddenly found myself a little funny.

If Neil knew that I had cancer, I was afraid he would be happy and applaud.

Neil’s eyelids drooped and he spoke with anger again. “Why didn’t you drink yourself to death? You deliberately found this person. Don’t waste your time on me.”

Diana was fine. Neil bought a lot of nutritional supplements, placed them in the ward and fed them to her personally.

I didn’t eat anything in the morning and my stomach was rumbling.

Neil didn’t even raise his eyelids, just smiled at the other person.

I was caught off guard and saw the bracelet on Diana’s hand.

It was the heirloom bracelet that Neil’s parents gave to their future daughter-in-law and Neil never gave it to me back then.

He said he would give it to me on the wedding day, but it turned out that he just didn’t want to give it to me.

I was driven out to guard the door and soon there was an ambiguous voice from inside.

They were doing what every couple would do and through the door, my nails had already scratched my palms to a bloody mess.

I once offered Neil to make love with me, but he always refused.

It turned out that he just didn’t love me and even felt disgusted with such things.

Diana deliberately exposed the red marks on her body. “Neil, you really. I’m pregnant and you still want me so much.”
