Love Ends in Winter

Finally, the long torture ended and Gloria fell to the ground in a mess.

Then someone roughly pulled her hair, dragged her into the ward like a dead dog and threw her away.

It was not until the sun was setting that Gloria finally gathered enough strength to get up and curled up in the corner.

As she first came here, she tried to resist, escape and even commit suicide, but at that time there was only fear in her heart.

A laugh suddenly sounded in the ward. Gloria shuddered all over and met Slyvia's smiling gaze.

“Tsk, tsk, how pitiful.” Slyvia reached out and stroked Gloria's pale cheek, “I had said it would be great if you could just stay as a vegetable, right? But unfortunately, you had to wake up and fight with me for Manuel.”

As she said that, she fiercely thrust the needle in her hand into Gloria's arm.

Gloria suddenly let out a scream.

Slyvia curled her lips in pleasure. Just as she was about to continue, someone outside came to report, “Mr. Norton is here.”

Slyvia paused, then stood up and said, “Then help my sister get dressed up.”

Apart from the electric shock injuries on Gloria's body, the things she used to torture people would not leave obvious marks.

Slyvia was not afraid at all that Manuel would discover anything.

But when she saw Manuel, Gloria no longer cared about anything else and held his hand tightly as if trying to grab the last straw.

“Manuel, I was wrong, take me away from here. I will listen to you from now on,” Gloria cried, begging, “Please.”

If she stayed there any longer, she would really be driven crazy.

Seeing Gloria's tears of despair and her cheeks that had become thinner in just half a month, Manuel felt a pain in his heart.

Just as he was about to speak, Slyvia spoke first, “The early stage of treatment is somewhat painful. After all, I have experienced it myself.

“But my sister's treatment has reached a critical moment. If we give up at this time, all the previous efforts will be wasted.

“Besides, Manuel, you see, my sister is much more obedient and docile now and she won't hurt people at every turn. The treatment and correction is effective.”

Manuel lowered his eyes and looked at Gloria, feeling that it was true.

So, he just could say his promise, “Gloria, I'll pick you up before the wedding, be good.”

Then he pulled his hand away and turned away.

Gloria shouted loudly from behind, “Manuel!”

Manuel paused, but did not look back.

Hatred suddenly burst out in Gloria's eyes.

She had always been disappointed with that person and until that moment, the disappointment turned into deep hatred.

Slyvia also hated Manuel for loving and protecting her but refusing to marry her.

She really wanted to take this opportunity to kill Gloria, but it was she who suggested sending her there. If she died there, Manuel would definitely vent his anger on her.

But if Gloria died outside, it would have nothing to do with her.

Slyvia smiled, with a calculating gleam in her eyes.

Someone quietly opened the door at night. Gloria, who was curled up in the corner, immediately raised her head and stared at the door vigilantly.

But after waiting for a long time, no one came in. Only the half-open door seemed to become a ray of hope attracting her.

Gloria could not help but stand up. Even though she knew that there might be a trap set by Slyvia outside, she could not help but go outside.

It was quiet outside.

The next moment, she rushed into the night without a care in the world.

The security system sounded a shrill alarm and then the lights in the compound came on, followed by the security guard's stern shout.

Gloria did not stop, but chose a direction and rushed forward.

Slyvia sat in front of the surveillance camera, leisurely enjoying the cat-and-mouse chase game, but soon she frowned.

Gloria did not run out of the main gate of the sanatorium as she expected, but escaped out of the back door and went up the mountain.

Would her plan of arranging for someone to hit Gloria to death on the road be ruined?

Slyvia cursed inwardly and went to catch the man himself.

But human potential was unlimited when faced with danger.

Gloria had been on the run and no one caught her for a while.

Until the two sides came to the edge of a cliff, Slyvia laughed with gritted teeth, “Sister, there is an undeveloped primitive jungle below and all kinds of wild animals roam in it. If you run in, you will die.”

However, Gloria jumped without hesitation.
