Give the Lesson to the Cheated Husband and Wicked Mother In-Law

Upon seeing the police arrive, Serena briefly provided a statement before having her lawyer urgently draft a divorce agreement.

She was determined to reclaim everything the Danish Family had given Felix, with interest.

Felix returned home late at night, his meticulously styled hair now disheveled, with strands falling over his eyes. He cautiously raised his eyes, observing his wife's expression.

She pretended everything was normal, simply handing over the divorce papers. "Your secretary couldn't get through to you on the phone, so he sent the urgent documents to our home. Please sign them."

He breathed a sigh of relief and signed the document without even checking on it.

She suppressed the joy in her heart. She carefully kept the divorce agreement and then called the Danish Group to reclaim all the assets under Jennifer's name.

Transferring assets was similar to the cooling-off period for divorce, lasting one month. After that, she could completely break free from these two people.

Until then, she just needed to pretend everything was normal to avoid raising suspicions.

In the dead of night, the person beside her suddenly got up, moving so quietly yet forcefully enough to rouse Serena from her light sleep.

Felix was walking towards the bathroom.

She followed and a familiar voice broke the silence from inside the door. "You finally answered the phone."

It was Jennifer.

Serena's fingertips curled slightly.

"Still not asleep?" he asked in a deliberately low voice. "Just got out of the station and the phone keeps ringing."

Jennifer muttered. "I still haven't found out who reported us — so annoying. I'm heading to the bend at the top of the mountain for a race later."

A faint metallic scraping sound followed from the bathroom, like something being fiddled with.

Serena's heart tightened.

"What are you doing?" The person on the other end of the video call had clearly heard him too, lowering its tone with a hint of amusement. "Felix, you didn't actually put it on, did you?"

He chuckled softly. "Since you're in a bad mood, I have to cheer you up, right?"

Serena was taken aback for a moment, then realized what he meant.

The metal restraint on the lower body.

She felt a sudden nausea in her stomach, a wave of nausea washing over her.

The person on the other end of the phone immediately burst into laughter. "Felix, are you out of your mind? Are you really using stuff from their circle?"

"Why wouldn't I?" he spoke in utterly calm tone, “Didn't you say the thought of me sharing a bed with her made you feel dirty? Then I'll just make myself clean, okay?"

Serena, outside the door, finally felt a wave of nausea wash over her.

They were talking about her wedding bed, the place she had once considered the most intimate and safest place. But in their mouths, it had become some kind of sick fetish.

Jennifer was clearly in a much better mood. "I wasn't afraid of being sent to the police station today. I just found it funny that those people thought they could catch something. But the only one who was truly caught was Serena. She's such a proud person, yet she slept next to you and didn't even know what you were doing."

Another burst of laughter followed.

Each sentence stabbed Serena in the heart, deep and painful.

She couldn't bear to listen any longer, turned around and went back to bed, her thoughts churning.

Recalling the day when the news of her engagement to Felix spread, everyone was speculating why she had agreed.

Some said an ice and independent princess couldn't resist a persistent suitor—Felix waited for her every day after work with 99 white roses, his unwavering persistence melting even the ice princess.

Others said that a reformed playboy was priceless—since meeting Serena, Felix had thrown away all his nightclub VIP cards and refused a single female to get close to him. Such special treatment was beyond anyone's ability to resist.

Only Serena herself knew that she loved him not for these superficial appearances.

She had once worked three days and three nights without sleep on a case that garnered nationwide attention, until Felix forcefully dragged her into the rest room and asked, "Serena, are you made of iron?"

His usually nonchalant face was now filled with seriousness. "Everyone sees you as an angel, assuming you can do everything effortlessly. But I know you're not an angel, you're a human. You can be tired, imperfect and occasionally rely on others, like me."

Just then, she completely lowered her guard against him.

From childhood to adulthood, she had been admired, envied and held up as a role model, but no one had ever asked her if she was tired or if she wanted to take a break.

Only him could gently peel away the glamorous exterior polished by the world, revealing the weariness beneath, the longing for someone to share her burdens.

Serena was convinced that he was the man she could entrust her life to.

But little did she expect that it was all a deception, an illusion.

With another calm, quiet move, Felix lay back down on the bed.

Smelling the unique scent of his cologne, her anger burned even bigger. She sat up abruptly and slapped him across the face.
