I Endured Her Harassment, Until My Sister Ended Everything

“You’re young and just arrived here, try to think more about people who have lived here a long time. Try not to get up at night. The sound of flushing really is very loud.”

I went fully quiet.

No wonder Gale acted with no fear at all.

And no wonder the manager was taking her side so openly.

So it turned out they were relatives!

My expression turned cold.

“So, what you mean is, your property management isn’t going to handle her using a vibration device against me?”

Cornelius answered slowly, sounding careless.

“It isn’t that we’re not handling it; it’s that there is no way to handle it.”

“In my view, you should think about yourself too. When needed, just bow your head a little. After all, one hand cannot make a sound alone.”

I looked at him, didn’t argue anymore, turned around, and walked out of the property office.

Gale’s vibration device ran without stopping for a full three days.

I am an online story writer and need a calm place to think and work.

With her making such loud trouble, not only could I not rest well, but my work was completely ruined, too.

I tried to call the police, but whenever they showed up, she would either throw tantrums, roll on the ground, and act shamelessly, or pretend to be sick and cry about being treated unfairly.

When she truly had no other option, she would briefly turn off the vibration device.

Once the police left, she would switch it on again.

She even mocked me on purpose with a proud expression.

“If you have the nerve, let the police protect you for the rest of your life! If you don’t have that kind of power, then move out!”

Move out?

Fine!

Just don’t regret it later!

That same day, I moved out of my home, checking into a nearby hotel.

Then I called my younger sister, who was rushing toward the college entrance exam.

“Didn’t you say before that you wanted to live in my new place?”

“That apartment is empty now; you can move in today.”

My sister had always said she wanted to come live with me.

But because Gale downstairs wasn’t someone easy to deal with, I didn’t want to cause problems, so I never agreed before.

But now, there was no reason for me to say no anymore.

After hearing my words, my sister quickly answered in a well-behaved tone.

“Alright, sis. I’ll pack my stuff and come over right now.”

I sent her the address and reminded her, “Call me when you’re near my place. I’ll go get you.”

“Thanks, sis. See you soon.”

After ending the call, I leaned back against the hotel couch and breathed out slowly, feeling relieved.

Gale, since you want to push things with me, then don’t blame me for not being nice.

Not long after, my sister called and said she was almost there.

I went straight to the entrance of the neighborhood to wait for her.

As soon as I arrived, I saw her walking toward me, dragging a big suitcase and carrying a backpack packed with school books.

She wore a clean and neat school uniform, her hair tied in a high ponytail, no makeup, and bright eyes.

She looked like a typical good student who only cared about studying.

“Sis!”

When she spotted me, her clear eyes curved into a happy smile.

I took her bags and guided her toward the building.

The moment we stepped into the elevator, I saw Gale standing inside too.

When she saw me step into the elevator with my sister, she scanned us from head to toe and spoke sarcastically, “What, you finally couldn’t handle the vibration device anymore, so you ran off to stay in a hotel?”

“And now you drag a student here to suffer too? You really have the nerve!”

Suffer?

I let out a cold laugh. “Gale, you’re thinking too much.”

“My sister didn’t come here to suffer.”

Ignoring Gale’s nonstop talk, I guided my sister out of the elevator.

After helping my sister get settled, I left the neighborhood.

Back at the hotel, I pulled the dark curtains closed and dropped myself onto the soft bed.

Three straight days of mental pressure left me fully worn down, both physically and mentally.

Yet right then, I felt full of expectation.

Gale, I truly hope you enjoy the new neighbor I arranged for you.

Your pleasant days were only starting right now!

That night, without the vibration device tormenting me, I dropped into heavy sleep and rested through the night without dreams.

The next morning, my phone buzzed wildly and pulled me awake.

When I checked it, the owners’ group chat had already blown up, with everyone urgently tagging me and begging me to rush back.

Property manager Cornelius kept calling me again and again as well.

The instant I answered, Cornelius’s anxious voice came through the phone, mixed with clear sobs.

“Miss Curtis! Gale admits she was wrong!”

“She swears she will never use the vibration machine again. Please come back quickly and move in!”

“Something serious has happened!”
