Victor's POV
I went outside the room, locking the door behind me.
Cause that's all I could do, walk out... before I might do something I'm going to regret.
I reached downstairs, sitting at the bar to get a drink.
Even if I know she's of no use to me now, I still need her alive, long enough to complete the second phase of my plan.

Her father came to me some years ago, seeking for a loan of forty million dollars to save his falling company from bankruptcy.
But he couldn't meet up the deadline.. according to my plan.
And just when I was about to kill him at a private meeting in his house.
A beautiful damsel named Claire walked in majestically... looking for her father.
Pure Italian blood.. Beautiful eyes and sexy body, why not?
The perfect figure to satisfy my urges whenever it came around, and she always delivered.
Because I made her to.
But definitely... I couldn't do all this without some help.
I only married her to deal with her father, I knew he couldn't stand to see his precious little daughter dying slowly under my command.
But what could he do about it?
Nothing . Absolutely Nothing!
Because I'm the one in control here, and until I get what I want, nobody's leaving!
"I am.. the one and only- Victor Hale!". I chuckled softly.
"I should probably go check on Claire, to know what that bitch is up to". I staggered, going up the stairs.
I pushed open the room door, slacking on it for support.
"Claire... what are you doing?". I said slowly, teasing her.
"Claire!". I barked, narrowing my eyes to see her in the dark room.
"Oh there you are... you know, you got me scared there for a minute".
I turned on the lightbulb, seeing her lifeless body on the floor.
WAIT, LIFELESS?
"Claire?". I tugged her with my legs.
"Oh no...no... no, she can't be dead yet, I haven't even entered the final phase of my fucking plan". I paced around the room worriedly.
She can't be dead, right?
"Claire". I tugged her again.
"Hospital? Yeah.. hospital-". I spoke out, the alcohol instantly clearing from my eyes.

In all my years of killing people, I've never ever checked on anyone after shooting them, assured that they're already on their way to the other side, but today... I didn't even shoot anyone, I just slapped her and now she's here, in the fucking hospital!!
"Hmmmh". I sighed softly, running my fingers through my hair. "I just hope she's not dead". I exhaled sharply.
I ran towards the nurse who came out of the ward Claire was admitted to. "You can go in, she's awake now". The nurse said politely.
I went into the ward with Lena, I had called her to come stay beside her sister, since they seem to love each other so much.
My eyes fell on the doctor, who seemed to be going through some kind of report, and my 'darling' Claire lying down on the bed.
Scratch that last part.
Her eyes opened slowly, her gaze growing intense on seeing me.
Just the way I like it.
Lena ran to hold her, "Sis how are you doing, hope they're treating you well, how are you feeling now?".
"I'm fine Lena". Claire replied weakly.
"What happened to her?". Lena blurted out.
"Well, she was brought in by Mr Victor here, who said he found her unconscious". The doctor replied.
Lena cast a glance at me, tilting her head back to Claire, who's gaze was on me.
"Has she eaten anything yet?". I asked the doctor.
"No, she just regained consciousness, but you can get her something to eat now". He replied .
"Okay, Lena... Go get some food for your sister". I handed Lena some cash, watching her as she left.
"Her test results will be out soon Mr Hale, I'll be in my office". The doctor said before leaving Claire and I in the ward, alone.
"Okay, thank you doctor". I said to him.
"How are you feeling now?".
I asked Claire, but she didn't respond, instead she rolled her eyes.
"You know, the only reason you're still in that position right now is because of me, roll your eyes again and I'll make sure you won't have any to, forever". I said coldly and left the room.
I waited outside the ward while Lena fed Claire, later on, the doctor finally called us, and I went in with Evelyn... who just arrived, to hear the 'announcement'.
The doctor cleared his throat. "Well, I'm pleased to announce to you, Mr and Mrs Hale-". He paused to look at Claire and I. "That you both are expecting a baby". He continued.
"Baby?"
I stood still as everything around me went into blur, the last sentence from the doctor reviberating through my eardrums.
I can't believe it!
Finally!
The heir to my throne of glory is fucking coming!
What I've been waiting for, all these years.. is finally here!
I ran towards Claire swiftly, hugging her and kissing her on her forehead, down to her stomach, I knew she was surprised... but I couldn't help it!
"Thank God!". I mumbled to myself.
"Enjoy your day sir". The doctor said, handing me the test results.
"Give me that!". Evelyn yanked it from his grip before I could even hold it.
She chuckled on seeing it's content.
Lena gave me a jealous look and stormed out of the room angrily.
What's her deal?
I went outside after a while to look for Lena, only to find her in the parking lot, pacing back and forth restlessly.
"What's your problem Lena?".
"Don't ask me that". She shot at me, crossing her arms.
"This changes everything". She spoke out.
"Now here's the plan-".
