"She's so vicious. She's just bullying the younger girl."
"What's she got to be upset about? Didn't she sleep her way to the top? How come she's so wild in private but can't handle it on screen? What a fake."
"Yeah, I saw her during filming. She clearly looked like she was enjoying it, but she still had to pretend she didn't want to."
"Her body is seriously hot, though. I wonder if it's real."
"Next time, sneak a feel and you'll know, haha."
Someone was even filming me with their phone. "Let's show the world what Amelia Alvarez's really like, a diva who bullies newbies and plays innocent while being trash underneath."
Everyone assumed I did it. I couldn't defend myself because no one else had a better motive than me.
I grabbed Colin's hand. "Don't you believe me either? We've been together for so many years. Don't you know what kind of person I am?"
He looked at me coldly and flung my hand off. "Jealousy changes people."
"Miley is such a pure girl. She hasn't experienced any of this. What you are doing is trying to drive her to death. You're so evil!"
I shook my head, crying. "I didn't do it. I swear I didn't. You've known me for years. How can you not believe me?"
Colin yanked me closer. "Come with me. Apologize to Miley."
At that moment, it felt like I'd plunged into ice water.
I finally understood. His heart was completely with Miley now. It didn't matter what I said. He only believed her and her tears.
Miley peeked out from his embrace. "Colin, Amelia is just upset with me. Could you not take it too far? Let her direct it at me, not you."
Colin's eyes were full of sympathy for Miley. "You're just too kind! That's why you're being bullied like this. I have to get justice for you today."
Colin's eyes were bloodshot. He grabbed my hair and forced me to kneel before Miley. "Apologize to her. Hurry!"
"I didn't do it. Please believe me. I really didn't."
Colin wouldn't listen to my explanation. He directly pressed my head down and slammed it against the floor repeatedly. "Don't play dumb with me. Apologize to Miley. Are you mute?"
"You had no problem doing it, so why is admitting it so hard?"
When I got home that night, Colin wasn't there.
I buried myself deep under the covers, wanting to cry but unable to.
I just felt a churning in my stomach, like I was about to throw up.
The internet was flooded with insults and curses directed at me.
"She acts all innocent, but she's worse than a whore behind the scenes."
"Poor Miley Murray, so naive. Imagine having to work with someone like that and get stabbed."
I locked my phone screen, not wanting to see any more of the online rumors.
Just then, my phone rang.
I answered it. It was Colin on the other end. "Where are you?"
"I'm home."
"Put on the clothes I got for you. There's a gathering here related to our movie. Come join us."
Hearing this, I immediately felt a surge of anger and frustration. My throat was dry and I couldn't say a word.
Colin, on the other end, had already lost patience. "Hurry up and get over here. Ten minutes. Don't make me repeat it."
"I'm not going."
After saying those three words, I hung up.
As a result, not long after, Colin rushed back. The moment he walked in, he bombarded me with accusations. "Why are you being so unreasonable? Tonight's gathering is crucial for the movie's release. If you don't go, Miley's hard work will be for nothing!"
