The heartbreaking questioning froze the atmosphere.The next second,with a thud,Nicole was pinned against the wall by John.His fingers pinched her neck,his pupils piercing her as he stared at her with a hint of crimson.
“I was doing you justice by not killing you when you threw my child to death.Britney took care of me for three years and gave birth to my child,yet I can’t even give her a legitimate status.Who forced all this,I wonder?”
Nicole,unable to contain his anger,asked,“Why would you rather believe her than me?She was the one who killed our child!”Her voice trembled and a flicker of emotion crossed John’s eyes.
But before he could say anything,Britney slowly stepped forward,sighed softly and spoke from behind him.“Forget it.Nicole thinks it’s me,so it must be me!I’ve been cyberbullied for three years,so this one isn’t any worse.”
Britney’s smile faded and for a moment,John looked at her with pity.Turning to look at Nicole,his eyes instantly grew cold and he frowned.
“Three years and it seems you still haven’t learned your lesson.Nicole,if I can send you to a mental hospital once,I can send you a second time.”
This statement was effective.Nicole shuddered slightly and fell silent.That day,she was assigned to the servants’quarters.
While John was away,Britney played the video of her having sex in the mental hospital to humiliate her.
“Tell me,if John knew you were a filthy bitch,would he still let you stay in the Griffith Family?”
Nicole stared at herself on the screen,her face pale.“No,no!”
Britney slapped her face hard,her lips raised in a sneer.“Then shut up,Nicole.I let you out so you can see how happy John and I are.If you say anything you shouldn’t,I’ll kill you!You don’t want these videos to be seen by everyone,do you?”
Nicole’s pupils trembled slightly and she nodded slowly,lowering her eyes to hide the hatred in them.
For days,she had been forced to bark like a dog,humiliated and tortured by Britney.She looked up,her eyes numb and filled with extreme hatred.“Britney,your good days are about to end.”
Britney scoffed at her words and slapped her hard.“You're dreaming!Oh,right?You didn’t know this yet!John said he wants to divorce you.It’s you who’s going to be the one whose good days are about to end.”
Her smile couldn’t conceal her smugness.Nicole’s cheeks were swollen and her numb eyes held a look of determination.
Three days later,she walked to a coffee shop when she was hit by a car and thrown to the ground,covered in blood.
In the car,Britney was waving goodbye to her.Nicole lay on the cold ground,her blood instantly frozen.
She forced herself to stay conscious and called John.The call went through quickly and she endured the pain,wanting to tell John.
But before she could say anything,she heard a sneer from the other end.“Britney said you were in a car accident.What?Another plot to frame Britney?”
