He picked bones for his secretary—I divorced him

Birthdays, holidays and various anniversaries every year.

Scarlett received so many gifts.

Every time I questioned him, Vincent gave me earnest explanations.

"It was because of me that Scarlett married my brother. That brother died trying to save me. Do you think I can be irresponsible for my brother's wife?"

Seeing my haggard face, Vincent softened his tone to comfort me.

"You made a living selling crepes for me. How could I forget your kindness?"

"Don't think too much about it. I just treat Scarlett as my younger sister. It has been the same for all these years."

But how could I not know?

He felt unworthy of having a wife who sold crepes.

He took his secretary to the cocktail party, and everyone misunderstood that she was the real wife, but he refused to explain.

Even the group of brothers in the past.

Call me Big Sister politely in person.

But privately, they call Scarlett little Emily.

Even if Vincent doesn't admit it, it can't change the preference he has revealed intentionally or unintentionally over the years.

The meal was not pleasant.

I didn't even move my chopsticks, I stood up and said, "Since I'm redundant, I won't bother you anymore."

Jacob slammed the table in anger.

"Emily, you've gone too far this time. Are you possessed by evil spirits for no reason? A crepe seller is really not presentable."

He complained in a low voice, "Brother-in-law, she shouldn't have been allowed to come in the first place. The celebration party we prepared for Sister Scarlett was ruined by her."

I was filled with disappointment. My parents died early, and Jacob and I depended on each other for survival. He ate my food, drank my water, and relied on me for support.

Now that he's drinking broth with Vincent, he starts to dislike the fact that my French crepes are not up to par.

I called the waiter and asked them to bring paper and pen, and wrote a statement of termination of guardianship on the spot.

"Since you think that I am not a decent enough sister, then let's sever our relationship."

"Jacob, from now on you can let someone else be your sister. Whether she lives or dies has nothing to do with me."

Jacob became angry when he heard this, and he did not hide the disgust in his eyes.

"Is there any sister like you? I just said a few words to you, and you turned your face away like that, and you even threatened to break off the relationship?"

"You are emotionally unstable, right?"

"Anyway, I have my brother-in-law here, so I am not afraid of starving. Since you took the initiative to break up the engagement, I will do as you wish."

He signed the release statement without hesitation.

Then it hit me in the face.

Jacob looked very proud:

"In the future, my brother-in-law will buy me a villa and help me find a wife. What difference will it make whether I have a sister like you or not? I still think that selling French crepes is not respectable enough."

I put away the custody termination statement expressionlessly. I want to see if Vincent will still help you after the divorce since we have no relationship at all.

Seeing that I decided to leave, Vincent didn't stop me.

"You are not in a stable mood today. Go home and have a good rest. Don't go out to the stall today."

I stood at the door and looked back coldly.

"Vincent, I just want to ask, today is my birthday, have you ever thought about buying me a birthday cake?"

Vincent was stunned, and looked up at me in shock: "What? You... today is your birthday, why didn't you tell me earlier?"

He immediately stood up and tried to pull me back to sit down, "Hurry up and sit down. I'll order a cake for you now."

I smiled bitterly and shook off his hand, "No need, belated affection is cheaper than grass."

What's more, I just want to ask, when he was busy organizing a celebration party for his secretary Scarlett, did he ever think of me for a moment.
