Malayah Smith stood with a stern look, pointing behind Ricardo Patterson towards the cleaning lady, warning him to be on alert. Everyone in the office was taken aback by her warning. Parker Franklin's eyes darted to the space behind Ricardo, his face paling as he shouted, "Ricardo, watch out!"
The seemingly inconspicuous cleaning lady, who had been quietly mopping the floor, suddenly raised her vacuum cleaner menacingly, a sinister sneer on her face as she aimed for Ricardo's head.
"Look out!" Malayah and Parker yelled almost in unison.
Parker swiftly grabbed the letter opener on his desk, tossing it with remarkable accuracy towards the attacker's throat from behind Ricardo.
Malayah, fast and focused, flicked her wrist, sending a silver throwing knife through the air at the same intended target.
Just as the attacker was about to swing the vacuum, the two blades zipped towards her, her expression morphing into one of shock.
An unforeseen twist occurred next. With a resounding clink, Malayah's knife struck Parker's mid-air, deflecting both into a harmless trajectory where they clattered to the floor.
"That's not good!" Malayah groaned, realizing she had accidentally diverted Parker's knife.
Parker looked frustrated but didn't have time to reprimand Malayah. He just shot her a frustrated glance before diving to the floor.
With a dull thud, the vacuum cleaner landed on Ricardo's desk as he narrowly sidestepped to safety.
Ricardo's face remained cool and composed. He snatched a sharp pencil from his desk, poised to throw it towards the attacker's face.
The attacker, still in her cleaning attire, froze momentarily, her eyes widening as the pencil flew towards her.
But just as the pencil was about to hit home, another knife soared through the air, knocking it off course with a sharp clang, both tumbling to the ground.
"Missed again..." Malayah muttered under her breath, her small hands clenched in frustration.
"Seriously? Can't you aim properly?!" Parker yelled, exasperated with Malayah's repeated misses.
The would-be assassin sighed with relief but quickly returned to her icy resolve, swinging the vacuum cleaner at Ricardo once more.
"I'm not going to fail this time!" Malayah vowed, determined to prove herself. With another flick of her wrist, a silver glint cut through the air but veered unexpectedly upwards.
With a loud crash, the knife shattered a glass chandelier overhead.
"Oh great, missed again, just my luck!" Malayah groaned, feeling her confidence waver after three off-target throws.
"You're finished!" The masked attacker screamed, lifting the vacuum cleaner for another attempt on Ricardo.
Ricardo, caught off guard and without a weapon, could only brace himself as the attacker closed in.
At that moment, the chandelier gave a creak, its chains snapping with a rattling sound, and it came crashing down onto the attacker's head.
