For My Daughter, I Will Destroy You

“Unbelievable! Sisters playing degrading games together, what a sick fetish.”

“Disgusting. Anything for money these days. This kind of trash doesn’t deserve to live.”

I stared at the hateful comments, my hands trembling with fury, my stomach turning from humiliation.

I had devoted everything to Lucian, trusted him to be my haven.

He ended up being the blade that gutted me.

That night, I grabbed my phone and dialed him. When he picked up, my voice was cold as steel,

“Lucian, I’ll sign your precious forgiveness letter and drop the case but you’ll sign something too. A guarantee. You stay away from me and Irene forever.”

Lucian agreed without hesitation.

We set a time and place and I returned home with the signed guarantee contract in my bag.

The moment I opened the door, a suffocating scene greeted me.

Juliette was sprawled across the sofa, grinning from ear to ear as she cut up Daisy’s dolls and dressed in Daisy’s pajamas.

Delilah lounged beside her, flipping through TV channels like she owned the place.

Lucian sat next to Delilah, gently peeling sunflower seeds for her with a care I hadn’t seen from him in a long time.

For a split second, my mind went blank.

This used to be my family’s living room. Daisy’s favorite dolls, her laughter, her tiny footsteps, this home was filled with her.

I clenched my fists, swallowed my disgust and calmly walked over.

“Here’s the guarantee contract,” I said, my voice void of emotion. “Sign it.”

Lucian didn’t even lift his head, casually signing the paper before tossing the forgiveness agreement toward me. “Your turn.”

I tucked the signed contract into my bag without hesitation, then picked up the forgiveness letter and scrawled my name across it.

Satisfied, Lucian leaned back lazily, “There’s been reports of a stalker near Delilah’s neighborhood. They’ll be staying here for a while. Since you’re so attached to Irene, stay with her at the hospital. My assistant will fetch you when she’s discharged.”

I didn’t reply.

I simply turned around and walked to the door, ignoring the puzzled look Lucian shot my way.

For some reason, watching me leave, his heart felt inexplicably uneasy. His hands, which had been leisurely peeling sunflower seeds, suddenly froze. He was about to call out to me until Delilah swiftly grabbed his arm.

“What’s wrong, darling?”

Lucian blinked back to reality and forced a smile. “It’s nothing.”

At the doorway, I stopped.

From beneath the guarantee contract, I retrieved a second document.

Divorce papers.

Without hesitation, I shredded the guarantee contract into pieces and tossed it into the trash bin by the door.

Lucian, you better pray you never regret today’s choice.

Because the day you regret it, I’ll make sure your life turns into living hell.
