It was similar to her desk, the place where they made love last night.
The nausea came back again and she knocked over the plate in front of Ezekiel's face and retched.
“Take it.”
Hearing the sound of the plate breaking, Ezekiel was stunned and suddenly a trace of confusion and panic flashed across his face.
“What's wrong? Is it not to your liking?”
Ivy did not answer.
The silence on her face exacerbated his helplessness, and in a trance, he recalled the past.
When he first started learning cooking, he began with the simplest fried eggs.
He fried an egg until it was burnt and tasted bitter.
Ezekiel was annoyed and ready to throw it away, but Ivy stuffed the egg directly into her mouth and gave a thumbs up, “Delicious.”
He was shocked and belatedly asked her to spit it out.
But she said, “Ezekiel, no matter what you do for me, I like it.”
But the person who always said she liked me actually turned the plate upside down that day.
Ezekiel recalled the details of the past few days and always felt that something was wrong and frowned subconsciously.
However, Letitia's exclamation soon interrupted his thoughts.
Looking at Ezekiel, who was in a trance for a while, then quickly walked towards Letitia and fed her a sandwich with his own hands, Ivy's eyes were filled with mockery.
Ezekiel got up and went to the kitchen to get something for Letitia and she was also ready to leave.
Unexpectedly, the moment she turned around, Letitia called her with a smile on her face.
“Miss Reid, I saw you last night.”
She blinked at Ivy, her eyes full of pride, “Your desk is really comfortable. Ezekiel asked me for it several times, but he wouldn't listen no matter how much I begged for mercy.
“Oh, by the way, maybe you don't know this yet, Ezekiel has already bought me a house and he asked me to move in now because he wants to see me and be intimate with me every day.
“How annoying.” Letitia shook her head and pretended to be annoyed and said, “Ivy, your fiancé really can't live without me for a day.”
Seeing that Ivy did not say anything, she warned, “Since you 've already seen it, I advise you to be sensible and take the initiative to break up with Ezekiel and let him marry me. Don't force me to do it myself.”
Unexpectedly, Ivy just stared at her for a long time and suddenly smiled.
Initially, she planned to break up with Ezekiel before leaving, but then, she wanted to delay him for a while longer and not let Letitia get her wish.
Her smile grew bigger and bigger until Ezekiel came out.
The silence continued until the three arrived at the hospital.
Ezekiel suddenly called Ivy and took out a bottle of warm strawberry-flavored milk from his pocket.
“Ivy, be good, drink your milk before you leave, otherwise your stomach will feel uncomfortable.”
She was a little surprised, her eyes fell on the light pink milk, her face still indifferent, “Thank you, but no thanks.”
After saying that, she turned around and went back to the office.
After the consultation, Ivy went to make rounds as usual. When passing by the stairwell, he heard a sob, followed by a familiar voice of comfort.
It was Ezekiel.
“How can my Letitia be so cute, yet she gets jealous over a bottle of milk?
“It's a pity that my painstaking efforts were in vain, Letitia, you didn't even think about who likes to drink strawberry-flavored milk.”
Letitia suddenly realized and burst into laughter.
Ivy's footsteps suddenly stopped, she smiled self-deprecatingly, pretending that she heard nothing and turned away.
Not long after the ward rounds, Ezekiel and Letitia came in one after another.
Enemies often meet on a narrow road.
On the way back to the office after checking the room, she ran into Ezekiel and Letitia again.
