I arrived at Sterling Atelier before dawn, my fingers tracing the delicate beadwork of the final 'Starlight' sample. Six months of sleepless nights had culminated in this collection—my most personal work yet. Each stitch contained fragments of my dreams, of the constellations I'd memorized as a lonely child at the Seattle home, imagining someone out there was looking at the same stars. The security guard nodded as I swiped my keycard. "Early again, Miss Chen?" "Big presentation today," I replied, forcing a smile that didn't reach my eyes. The elevator hummed softly as it carried me to the top floor. Lucas had been distant lately, more critical than usual. The return of Victoria Lane three weeks ago had changed something fundamental between us. Still, I held onto hope—six years of devotion doesn't evaporate overnight. The studio doors were already open, unusual for 5:30 AM.

Chapter 1 of Fashion Fraud Exposed

I arrived at Sterling Atelier before dawn, my fingers tracing the delicate beadwork of the final 'Starlight' sample. Six months of sleepless nights had culminated in this collection—my most personal work yet. Each stitch contained fragments of my dreams, of the constellations I'd memorized as a lonely child at the Seattle home, imagining someone out there was looking at the same stars.

The security guard nodded as I swiped my keycard. "Early again, Miss Chen?"

"Big presentation today," I replied, forcing a smile that didn't reach my eyes.

Lucas's voice drifted from within, followed by a feminine laugh that made my stomach clench. I slowed my steps, suddenly reluctant to enter my own workspace.

"Move that sketch to the front," Lucas was saying. "It captures the essence of the collection perfectly."

I froze in the doorway. Lucas stood with his back to me, his tall frame leaning over my design table. Beside him, Victoria Lane's slender fingers were rearranging my sketches—my sketches—while a studio assistant carefully removed my signature from each page.

"And you're sure Sarah won't mind?" Victoria asked, though her tone suggested she couldn't care less if I did.

"Sarah understands her role," Lucas replied, his voice carrying that dismissive edge I'd grown accustomed to ignoring.

I watched in silent horror as another assistant affixed Victoria's name to my work—to the pieces I'd conceptualized during those midnight hours when Lucas was sleeping beside me, unaware of the worlds I was creating.

I must have made a sound because Lucas turned, his expression shifting from surprise to something harder when he saw me.

"Sarah. You're early." Not an apology. Not an explanation.

"What are you doing?" My voice emerged smaller than I intended.

Victoria straightened, tossing her perfect blonde hair over one shoulder. "Lucas thought it would be better if I presented the Starlight collection to the buyers today." Her smile was sympathetic, but her eyes were cold. "Your technical skills are impressive, but the collection needs a face that embodies its spirit."

Lucas didn't contradict her. Instead, he gestured toward the sample in my hands. "Perfect timing. We needed that final piece."

I didn't move. "This is my collection, Lucas."

The studio fell silent. The assistants suddenly found reasons to look elsewhere.

"It's a Sterling Atelier collection," Lucas corrected, his tone sharpening. "And Victoria has the presence to sell it properly." He extended his hand for the garment. "The sample, Sarah."

Six years. Six years of giving everything—my designs, my youth, my heart—all because I believed he was the boy who'd saved me from the flames. The boy who'd whispered, "I'll always protect you," as he carried me to safety.

I handed over the sample, my fingers lingering on the fabric for one last moment.

Hours later, I stood in the corner of our showroom, watching as Victoria twirled in my creation before an audience of industry elites. Lucas beamed beside her, his hand possessively at her waist.

"The Starlight collection represents a new direction for Sterling Atelier," he announced. "Victoria's vision has breathed fresh life into our brand."

Victoria's vision. My hands curled into fists as I counted backward from ten, a technique I'd perfected over years of public humiliation.

"Sarah was instrumental in the technical execution," Lucas added as an afterthought, not even glancing in my direction.

The buyers applauded, enchanted by Victoria's charm and beauty. No one looked at me. No one ever did.

That evening, the Metropolitan Museum glittered with New York's elite for the annual charity auction. I stood alone at the edge of the crowd, nursing a champagne I hadn't touched. Across the room, Lucas and Victoria held court, her laughter carrying over the music.

Then I saw it—lot number 37. The ruby necklace known as "Rose's Tear," my grandmother's only legacy to me, which I'd sold three years ago to save Lucas's struggling business. The auction catalog trembled in my hands.

"And now, ladies and gentlemen, lot thirty-seven," the auctioneer announced. "A rare ruby pendant with an extraordinary provenance."

I raised my paddle at the opening bid, my heart pounding. This was my chance to reclaim a piece of myself.

The bidding escalated quickly. My final offer—the entirety of my savings—hung in the air for one hopeful moment.

"One million dollars," a familiar voice called out, silencing the room.

Lucas stood, his expression triumphant as he outbid me for my own family heirloom. The gavel fell with a crack that echoed through my chest.

"Sold to Mr. Sterling!"

The crowd applauded as Lucas made his way to the stage. I couldn't move, couldn't breathe.

"A gift," he announced, "for the woman who has brought light back into my life."

He fastened Rose's Tear around Victoria's neck, his fingers lingering on her skin. She touched the ruby reverently, then turned to face the crowd—to face me—with a smile that held no warmth.

In that moment, something inside me shattered beyond repair.

After He Chose His Mistress I Became His Rival's Star
After He Chose His Mistress I Became His Rival's Star
As my client was getting a little too friendly, Nasir Bradley was enjoying a glass of wine with his assistant nearby. Trying to keep the client happy, I ended up drinking more than I should have and felt on the verge of passing out. Yet Nasir didn’t so much as glance at me; he was too busy picking the olives out of his assistant’s dish, encouraging her to eat. After dinner, the assistant remarked that it had been dull, which was all Nasir needed to hear before pulling over and practically pushing me out of the car to take her to the next event. “This young lady has been working hard lately; I'm just taking her out for some fun,” Nasir said dismissively. “You probably wouldn't understand what the younger crowd is into these days, so it’s best if you don’t come along. Besides, I’m going to make sure she has a great time tonight; we can talk about the marriage license another time.” For five years, Nasir had canceled our wedding plans ninety-nine times. I nodded. If he was always busy, there was really no point in going through with it. From the slightly open passenger window, Leah Palmer stuck out her tongue apologetically, "Sorry, Christina, Nasir's just spoiling me a bit.
Alpha's Betrayal Unveiled
Alpha's Betrayal Unveiled
I smoothed down the front of my silver gown, the one Alexander had gifted me on our fifth anniversary, as I entered the monthly Silverfang council meeting. The familiar faces of pack members nodded respectfully as I passed, taking my seat beside the ornate chair reserved for my mate, the Alpha. Seven years as Luna had taught me the rhythm of these gatherings—budget discussions, territory reports, and the occasional dispute resolution. Nothing I couldn't handle with the grace expected of Alexander's mate. My wolf, Aria, stirred within me. *Something feels wrong today.* I dismissed her concern with practiced ease. *It's just another meeting, dear one.* But when Alexander entered, his gaze swept past me as if I were invisible. The chill that ran down my spine wasn't just from the draft in the ancient stone chamber. "Let's begin," he announced, his voice carrying that natural authority that had first drawn me to him all those years ago. The meeting proceeded normally until Sarah Mitchell, the Beta's sister, rose from her seat across the chamber.

The bass from the karaoke bar pulsed through my chest like a second heartbeat, each thump making my temples throb. I watched Lucca laughing with his pack brothers, his arm slung casually over Delta Marcus's shoulder as they belted out some terrible rendition of an old pack anthem. The crowd was a sea of familiar faces from Silvermoon, all here to celebrate our territory's founding anniversary. I'd been smiling for two hours straight, playing the perfect Luna-to-be, but the noise was finally winning. 'I need some air,' I murmured to Mira, who nodded with understanding before turning back to her own conversation. The cool night air hit my face like a blessing as I slipped through the bar's side door. Silvermoon territory at night was beautiful—the trees rustled gently, and moonlight painted everything in silver and shadow. I took a deep breath, letting Selene, my wolf, stretch contentedly within me. For just a moment, I could pretend I was alone with the night sky. Then I heard Lucca's voice.
Betrayed Mate: Choosing True Love Path
Betrayed Mate: Choosing True Love Path
My hands trembled as I stood at the edge of the ceremonial circle, watching the other seniors of our pack take their turns. The Coming of Age Ceremony was everything in werewolf society—the moment when our abilities would be fully tested, our ranks determined, our futures set. The scent of pine needles and burning sage filled the night air, and the full moon hung heavy above us, its silver light bathing the clearing in an ethereal glow. Ryan stood across the circle, his dark hair gleaming under the moonlight, those green eyes finding mine with the same reassurance they'd offered since we were pups. My heart fluttered as it always did when he looked at me. We'd been raised with the understanding that we were destined mates—our families had planned it, the pack expected it, and I had built my entire future around it. "Sophia Williams," Elder Marcus called, his Alpha voice resonating through the clearing. I stepped forward, my white ceremonial dress billowing around my ankles. Inside me, my wolf—Sarah—stirred anxiously. *We should show our full strength*, she whispered in my mind.
