The Evil Mother-in-law Angrily Asked Me For A Million In Compensation

My name was Sharon Briggs. After I broke up with my boyfriend, Wade Holmes, his mother, Sophia Larson, came to me to claim over a million dollars.

She walked around our house with a lamp and then threw me a piece of paper.

"Compensation of 1,609,948.6 dollars"

Who had to pay so much money for a breakup?

Her eyes flickered as she said righteously, "After Wade was with you, he lost 16 hairs.

"Good boy, take off your pants."

I had been with Wade for three years and had never seen Sophia. The reason was that he said his family environment was a bit embarrassing, and he was afraid that I'd break up with him because of that. He decided to take me to see Sophia after our relationship was stable.

Before our relationship was stable, we broke up. And now, I saw Sophia.

She was wearing a red and green outfit, with purple lips, and holding a bright lamp.

At first, I thought that even though we had broken up, she was an elder anyway, so I was about to greet her. But she pushed the door and came in directly, and then she inspected the room carefully with the lamp in her hand.

She either lifted the mattress or moved the fridge aside. Finally, she called Wade, who was outside, into the room.

I was confused and couldn't figure out her intention, but at least I knew she was up to no good.

Sure enough, after quite a while, she came out of the room with a serious expression.

"Go get me a piece of paper."

She instructed Wade to fetch a piece of paper, and during the wait, she looked me up and down, making my scalp tingle.

Everyone would feel scared when being stared at by a fierce-looking old woman, especially when her eyes were flashing with malice.

After Wade brought the paper, she started writing something on it. Wade stood by and didn't dare to utter a word, and the whole room fell into silence.

When she looked up, she handed me the piece of paper with the words "Compensation of 1,609,948.6 dollars" written on it.

I shook the paper at Wade, clearly saying to him, "What is this about?"

However, Sophia saw my action as seeking help from Wade, and she immediately pulled him behind her.

Her eyes flickered as she said righteously, "This is what you should give Wade."

He practically lived off me. I provided him with food, a place to live, and everything else. And now we broke up, I had to pay him? Was she serious?

I looked at them without saying a word. Seeing that, Sophia knew that I wouldn't give them the money. She turned and pointed to Wade behind her.

"After Wade was with you, he lost 16 hairs.

"Good boy, take off your pants."

Of course, Wade didn't want to take off his pants in this situation, but I understood what she did when she called Wade into the room just now.

Just thinking about it gave me the chills.

Wade was 26 years old, and Sophia treated him as if he were still a child.

I closed my eyes tightly. What a farce.

"Both of you, get out."

I was so annoyed when I saw the two of them. Breaking up was tough enough.

But Sophia didn't want to leave at all. She counted right in front of me and then said to me complacently.

"See? 16 it is. Isn't it fair that I ask you for 100,000 dollars for each hair?"

I looked at Wade, who was bowing his head and not speaking, and noticed his tightly clenched fists.

I gave up the idea of arguing with her and sighed inwardly. Forget it. I might as well save him some face.

Both he and I felt embarrassed.

So, I went forward to pull up his pants, but I was stopped by Sophia.

"You broke up with Wade and still want to get handsy? No way!"

I didn't say anything and just glanced at Wade. He still looked the same, taking things as they came.

I stared at him for a long time, but he never looked up.

I knew that he must have felt me looking at him.

After realizing that, I didn't want to care about anything anymore. At worst, I'd avoid seeing him or Sophia from now on.

"We went out for three years. You should be glad I'm not asking him for money. You have the nerve to ask me for money!

"You want money? Dream on. Don't you know what kind of person Wade is?"

Sophia didn't expect me to be so fierce. I guessed she had never wondered why Wade could be promoted so quickly. After all, he was such a pushover. I was the only reason.

I didn't want to negotiate with them or even see them anymore.

"Security! Kick them out."

Sure enough, the property fee was well-spent. I also asked the property staff to put their faces on the blacklist.
