The air inside The Black Lotus Casino buzzed with newfound energy. The staff and guards, once uncertain of their fate, had quickly adapted to their new boss, Carrick Gale.
Seated in the VIP lounge, Carrick surveyed his latest conquest. His fingers tapped idly against his whiskey glass as he listened to Kasper deliver his report.
"The Gale family isn't taking this lightly," Kasper muttered, leaning back in his chair, a cigarette dangling from his lips. "Domino's already mobilizing. Word is, he's tightening security around his other businesses. He knows you're coming."
Carrick smirked. "Good. I want him to know. Let him spend resources guarding what he can't protect."
Elias Kane chuckled from the side. "Damn, kid. You've got balls." He leaned forward, elbows on the table. "But what's the play here? You hit his casino, pissed him off, and now he's going to come at you swinging. Are we gonna wait for that?"
Carrick took a slow sip of whiskey before setting the glass down. "No," he said simply. "We strike first."
Elias raised an eyebrow. "Where?"
Carrick tossed a file onto the table. Kasper picked it up, flipping through the pages, before letting out a low whistle. "The Iron Fang Warehouse? That's one of Domino's biggest weapon storage facilities."
Carrick nodded. "If we take it, we cripple his firepower. No weapons, no war."
Elias let out a short laugh. "And here I thought this would be boring."
Carrick's gaze hardened. "It's time we remind the Gale family what happens when they try to bury me."
*
Midnight.
The warehouse loomed in the darkness, surrounded by high fences and patrolling guards armed to the teeth. Floodlights illuminated the perimeter, and cameras monitored every corner.
Carrick, Elias, and a team of KWE mercenaries watched from a nearby rooftop.
Elias adjusted the scope on his silenced rifle. "Tight security. Domino wasn't kidding around."
Carrick smirked. "Makes it more fun."
Beside him, Lila, his newly recruited sniper, set up her rifle. "I have a clear shot on the two guards by the gate."
Carrick nodded. "Take them."
Lila inhaled sharply, then..
Pfft. Pfft.
Two bodies crumpled to the ground before anyone inside the warehouse could react.
Carrick turned to the rest of the team. "Move in."
Like shadows, the mercenaries slipped through the darkness. Jack Harris, the seasoned veteran, led the ground team, taking out another guard with a quick blade to the throat.
Carrick and Elias followed close behind, moving toward the warehouse entrance.
As they reached the doors, Kasper's voice came through the earpiece. "We've got movement inside. Heat signatures indicate at least twenty hostiles."
Elias grinned. "Twenty? That's it?"
Carrick pulled out his pistol. "Let's make it zero."
Inside the Warehouse..
The moment Carrick and his team entered, chaos erupted.
Gunfire rang out as the guards inside realized they were under attack. Bullets whizzed past Carrick as he dived behind a stack of crates.
Elias, unfazed, snapped off precise shots, dropping enemies one after another.
Jack and his men moved through the warehouse like a well-oiled machine, eliminating guards with ruthless efficiency.
Carrick spotted a large man wielding a shotgun taking cover behind a forklift.
He moved fast. Rolling out of cover, he fired three precise shots..
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The guard's body slumped against the forklift.
Kasper's voice crackled in the earpiece. "Two more coming from the left."
Lila's sniper rifle answered before Carrick even turned.
Pfft. Pfft.
Two more bodies hit the ground.
Elias whistled. "Damn, I like her."
Carrick didn't respond. He was already moving toward the main storage area.
The warehouse was a treasure trove of high-grade weapons, assault rifles, explosives, and military-grade equipment.
This wasn't just a warehouse. It was a war chest.
Jack inspected a crate, whistling lowly. "Domino really stocked up for a war, huh?"
Carrick smirked. "Too bad he won't get to use any of it."
He turned to Elias. "Blow it all."
Elias grinned like a kid in a candy store. "Now we're talking."
Within minutes, C4 explosives were planted around the warehouse. The team gathered at the exit as Elias held up the detonator.
Carrick took one last look at the weapons before giving the nod.
Boom!
The explosion lit up the night sky as the warehouse went up in flames.
Carrick watched the inferno, his expression unreadable.
Elias clapped him on the back. "That's one hell of a message."
Carrick's voice was cold. "Domino will get the message loud and clear."
*
Domino stood frozen as the news came in. His jaw clenched, rage boiling beneath his skin.
"He took Iron Fang?" His voice was low, dangerous.
The informant trembled. "Y-yes, sir. The warehouse is completely destroyed."
Domino's hands shook with fury. "That little bastard..."
Zachary Gale, seated across the room, took a slow sip of whiskey. "I told you he'd come for more."
Domino spun around. "And you just let it happen?"
Zachary sighed. "I let it happen because it's not over yet."
Domino slammed his fist into the wall. "Then what's the next move?!"
Zachary smiled, setting down his glass.
"We set a trap."
Domino's eyes darkened. "What kind of trap?"
Zachary leaned forward. "Carrick wants to take everything from us. Let's give him something he can't resist... and crush him when he comes for it."
Domino's lips curled into a wicked grin. "I like the sound of that."
Back at the Black Lotus Casino
Carrick stood on the rooftop, the city skyline stretching out before him.
Elias joined him, lighting a cigarette. "So, what's next?"
Carrick's eyes burned with determination.
"Next, we take the Gale family's beating heart."
Elias raised an eyebrow. "You mean..?"
Carrick smirked.
"We're going after their money."
